Just an hour ago, I accidentally lost control of my car in the parking lot and bumped into a car. The headlight on the right popped out and the bumper also popped out like a few inches. There were also some slight scratches. My car was unscathed. I met up with the car owner, a McDonald's employee, and it turned out that she didn't have a license at all. I gave her information from my driver's license and phone number but all she gave me was her name, phone number, and license plate number. I later spoke to a friend and she suggested that it was quite possible that she might have been an illegal immigrant since she needed a friend to help her speak English and was driving without a license. It's also quite possible that the name she gave me isn't her real name. I haven't been able to call up the restaurant but she told me that she's supposed to call me tonight. My question is, is there any danger in giving my driver license information to her?
Also, how much would the damage cost?

No social security number but the license did have my number on it. However, the person was working in the restaurant before going outside to investigate her car. It's just confusing how she would get hired if she didn't have a license in the first place.
I was advised not to call the police but now I know I've made a big mistake.

In the future, If you are in an accident and there is damage, call and wait for a police report, I do not care if it was in a parking lot or not. This other person just drove off with not only your information, but was driving without a license. Odds are if you had volunteer to call the police, she would have ran.

There may be a possible risk but it depends if she a person who will actually use other peoples information, but there could be a slight risk that if she gets in another accident that she might be able to give your information to other people instead of giving her real information because if she is an illegal immigrant she will most likely try to avoid giving any real information because she can be insecure about having to go back to where she came from.

If any of the vehicles are damaged it is best to call the police and in your situation you both would have been at fault, you for hitting the car, and the other driver for not having a license.

I would suggest calling police and file a report.
The fact she doesn't have a license or possibly not even legally here isn't your problem.
Your problem is, since you hit the other car, you can be liable to all sorts of things if the other party tries to claim it. Protect yourself by calling police and put it on paper by the authority.
The other person IS entitled to your information. I am advising, you don't try to handle this all by yourself.

No, you will not be in trouble. You did not do a hit and run and you supplied the insurance info on the car. Therefore you did what was right... The only way you could have gotten in trouble is IF they called the law that day and had them come to the scene. Since that didnt happen, then nothing can happen. Lesson learned. Go get your DL.

If she didnt have a license at all She shouldnt be driving. Did your information have your social security number in it? if it did it is possible she could steal your idenity. I would call my insurance company and inform them she didnt have a license.Calling the police to make an incident report protects you as much as it anything. ALWAYS call the police unless you live in florida and you are drunk.

First off name and number would have been fine. You know where she works. But by giving her you D/L number she can get any info she wants on you depending in which state you live. You should have called the police and had them do a report just for insurance purposes incase you have to pay.

Go file a police report immediately and tell them that this person had no license. Go back to the restaurant and ask the manager if in fact that is her real name and address. Ask the police officer what to do.
