A crowd of Monks against a huge military machine - no chance.
But if Al Qaeda started launching suicide attacks against Burmese military targets, it might just bring them down?

Not a chance. 'Burma' is one of the biggest customers for British armaments on the planet.

They would have an internationally supported reason to kick back at Al-Qaeda but it's hard to justify shooting your own priesthood.

Well not twice now that the rest of the world can see it anyway.

Al Qaeda will probably win because the Burmese Army is not armed with sophisticated weapons.
