People watch too many movies and base their opinion on what Hollywood thinks. Just remember they live in a fantasy world. Please try and distinguish between the two.

Well, lots of John Wayne's out there and lets not forget the free speech/thought police. Everyone thinks they are a perfect little soldier. Never question authority, just do it!

To coin a phrase "War is Hell".. find ways to not go to war give peace a chance.

Been there, lost some shipmates, saved some lives and and had no say in why we were in a given place. My shipmates were the reason to get in that darn small boat when the waves were 50+ feet not because some fool gave orders. 27 lives saved personally 273 by the ship's crew while I was assigned. Over 13000 tons of illegal drugs seized over that time and one minor battle.
Drug dealers who opened fire on law enforcement officers including 6 Coasties. Two 40 mm grenades in reply put a stop to the shooting. The FBI was pissed but you do not shoot at the US Military.

I don't think you are soldier material. The movie "we were soldiers, and young" was a true story. Some just don't want to be in the Military and i find nothing wrong with that if they don't talk negative about others who are.
