islam has the rammadan, they cannot eat pork... even though these "sacrifices" may be seen as absurd for people who dont have the same believes they have, at least they do a sacrifice for their religion. However, christian religion doesnt recquire any sacrifice, all of it is general and things that dont really compromise anyone because "love thy neigbour", well that is something i can even say i do,since what does it mean? that you are not gonna go to his place and steal his television set? that you are not gonna hit him? that you are gonna buy him/her roses everyday?
"accept god in your heart and love him" again what is it? how do you prove your love? praying? singing hallelujah? saying god is my light in yahoo answers every evening?
"pray"...it may take just 5 minutes of your time, while you are watching tv, you think:" god, help me pay this month´s mortgage! with love, amen"...
So why is that christians dont make any sacrifice (even if it may seem absurd)??

Jesus Christ was the Ultimate Sacrifice.

Hebrews 9:26
Then Christ would have had to suffer many times since the creation of the world. But now he has appeared once for all at the end of the ages to do away with sin by the sacrifice of himself.

There isn't any need for a sacrifice. The price for salvation was paid when Christ was crucified on the cross, He was a pure and perfect sacrifice and He bore all the sin of the world on His shoulders as He died on the cross. Once you accept Jesus Christ as your personal savior, all your sins are forgiven, that doesn't mean you can do what you want, you have to live your life the way God wants you to live...but when you accept that Jesus is the One Pure Sacrifice, an dinvite Him into your life, You are saved and you don't need to make a sacrifice for atonement, Jesus blood is all the atonement that you need. You don't need to "prove" your love to God, He knows. Singing praises is just a way of celebrating and expressing yourself. When you are a believer in Jesus Christ, your heart feels so full of love when you sing praise songs, that sometimes it feels like it could pour over. Singing praises and going to church and having a personal relationship with Jesus where all you have to do is talk to Him and you know you are being heard is all a believer needs to feel happy. Sure life is crappy sometimes, and things are hard sometimes, but for me personally, i know that im going to be ok. I have had really rough times in my life, family issues, my mom had cancer 2 times....money problems sometimes....but i know i am not alone, I can always get comfort knowing God is near and i can read encouraging words in the Bible.i can listen to christian music and sing out loud whenever i want(mostly as loud as i want in the car...im not the greatest singer) i can go to church and learn more about the Bible, and God. Most importantly, I always know that whatever happens to me, I will be in heaven one day, face to face with my King and Creator. God doesn't expect anyone to be blameless and perfect...He just want's us to try and be the best we can, and love Him, and try to do His will. He gave us the most precious gift....eternal life. I know this sounds so cliche....i will pray for you. Love In Christ!

According to Christian belief, sacrifices were made before the birth of Christ as a symbol of the sacrifice that Christ would make. When Christ came, He sacrificed Himself and so "fulfilled" the law of sacrifice. As far as the "love your neighbor" and "love thine enemy" all that jazz goes, I think there's a lot more to it than you want to give credit. Truly loving someone is going to do a lot more for that person and for yourself than a physical sacrifice. It's giving up pride and prejudice. It's much more difficult to change something that is in our nature than to give up food (I've participated in Rammadan and Christian fasts, so I'm not saying this in complete ignorance). It's a lot harder to forgive someone that has truly hurt you than it is to eat chicken instead of pork.
Also, most Christian religions do ask their members to fast (abstain from all food and drink for a certain amount of time) and to donate money to their church.

The 40 days between the Christian holidays of Ash Wednesday and Easter, commonly known as Lent, are often a source of curiosity for those who don't participate - after all, it isn't often a person willingly gives up their favorite food or pastime for more than a month.
For those who do take part in Lent, however, it can be an opportunity to learn more about the disciplines of their faith.

Jesus Christ was the ultimate sacrifice, once and for all, meaning once he had to die, for all nations, all tongues, but also, it means once and for all of time.

No more sacrifices are needed.

We do sacrifice, in a way. But it is by the Blood of the Lamb that we are saved from sin and the second death. We all have to die in the body, but when a born-again believer dies he is immediately with Jesus.

The sacrifices that we make are the ones of this world. The things of the world become strangely dim in the Light of his wonderful face.

We love him because he first loved us. We can't even love him without his help.

All other religions require works of the flesh, the works of the human to get close to their god, but in Christianity, it is God that draws us. We can do NOTHING without him. I can't breathe without him, my heart beats because he demands it. Can you control your life or your death. All is in Gods hands. We can do nothing without Christ.

Neighbor means everyone...not just the one who lives next to you. It means both friend and foe. Islam tells its followers to hate, not to love. It tells that those who are anti-Islam should be killed, esp. Jews and Christians. The word LOVE does not even appear one time in their "holy" book.

Jesus Christ says love your neighbor and pray for those who are your enemy(paraphrased). God's will is that NO ONE should perish but have everylasting life. But rejecting the Cross is death. Not life....TVs have nothing to do with it.

You will know a person is a true, born-again Christian, by their fruit...which is the fruit of the spirit of God, which is.....LOVE, JOY , PEACE, PATIENCE, KINDNESS, GOODNESS, FAITHFULNESS, GENTLENESS, AND SELF-CONTROL.

These behaviors are not of this world but come from God.

Because obedience is better than sacrifice.

Other people sacrifice to show their loyalty/faith. Christians obey. Which is a more logical way, for me, to show your faith. The reason being is that is much more benificial to our society than fasting for forty days ornt eating pork.

Prior to the birth and death of Jesus, Christianity was into sacrifices (see Old Testament).

However, Jesus died for us so we have no need to give sacrifices. In fact, if we gave sacrifices it would be an insult to what Christ did for us. Good question.

Simple: The sacrifice of Jesus Christ was completed at the cross when He shouted, “It is finished!” (John 19:30). It was finished and as a result it is forever done. “It stands finished.” Nothing else needed to be done from the moment Christ died. It was a once-and-for-all completed sacrifice for sin.

It was in the shedding of His blood on the cross that Christ both ratified the New Testament and purchased the believer’s redemption The prominent term used in reference to the atonement in the New Testament is the “blood.” The blood of Christ indicates the all-encompassing redemptive work of Christ on the cross.
