If you are just sick all the time and in constant pain, do you think God would answer your prayer to die?

Wow, I don't know how to answer you, but I would say anytime you ask God to die, there is a certain way to touch his heart.

Of course I don't know what his reaction or answer, if any, will be but that is between you and God.

Sorry you're so sick. I wish I could take it all away.

All prayers are answered. So - if you pray to God - and you don't die - it doesn't mean your prayer was not answered. Spirit knows what It's doing. For example - you may not die for awhile - because one of your loved ones is needing your situation to teach them about compassion. We can't see how the whole perfect big picture works. That's where faith comes into play.

There is nothing wrong with being ready to leave your human body - especially if it is no longer serving you - and not allowing you to be what you KNOW you are.

Namaste!!

No it's not but remember what Scripture says: '...the Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance [2 Peter 3:9]. AND
Have I any pleasure in the death of the wicked, says the Lord, and not rather that he should turn from his evil way and return [to his God] and live [Ezekiel 18:23]

I think it would be better to pray for some kind of pain relief and also that HE might comfort you in your suffering; and finally to show you some meaning or purpose behind all of the pain.

Otherwise yes - I would think it would be quite wrong.

I don't think he'll fulfill that prayer, but I don't think it's wrong to pray that (even if it's not really healthy in anyway). I have done that myself. No matter what it is, at least your praying, so keep on praying.

It is wrong to pray to God to die, but it is not wrong to pray for Him to ease your pain and suffering.

I do not think it is wrong if you are sick and in pain to pray for release.

Not wrong, just futile.

I can empathize with gliterkittyy's painful experience. My father suffered terribly with cancer for more than FIVE years before "God" answered his prayers.

If you believe in him are you serving him and doing his will ? Paul had an infirmity and he asked God to take it away ,2 Corinthians 12 , God replied " My Grace is sufficient for thee ". So Paul kept going .

if you believe that God has plans for us all...
then dying is also part of that
and if you believe that , then praying wont change those plans

but ((((hugs)))) if this is about you
sometimes life sucks ... but we just have to make the best of what we have and try and live each moment for what it is
but no harm in praying xxx
