Yes, we may hate something that ppl say that is vile about God, but we wont let the offensive statement offend us personally and then feel a need to react to it. THat encourages us to sin as they sin.
Yes I do believe that , and I believe everything else in the Bible. GOd speaks only truth and I believe it all, and believe we are to obey all God telll us. OBedience leads to blessing. Holiness is the answer, and disobedience still leads to curse. Great question. LEts not accept the bait of offense from the devil, just leads to more sin.

The word "offend" had a different meaning during the time of the KJV. It meant to stumble.
The English Standard Version reads, "Great peace have those who love your law; nothing can make them stumble."

The old King James Version translation of "offend" does not carry the same meaning in modern English. Try the NIV, Living, or Revised Standard versions of that verse for an updated comprehension:
"Great peace have they who love your law, and nothing can make them stumble." (NIV and RSV)
"Those who love your laws have great peace of heart and mind and do not stumble." (LB)
This verse, and the paragraph of the poem it is taken from, are not about "taking offense" at the actions of others. It is about the steadfastness of someone who is approaching suffering for their faith. The man looks foreward to his upcoming trial, and takes comfort and courage from his knowledge of, and adherance to, God's revelation to mankind (including the Law).
In that understanding of the verse (and surrounding context) the answer is YES. For centuries, even millenia, people have suffered in many ways and places for their faith in God. The ones that endured to the end found their greatest comfort and strength in knowing God and His Word. That is what kept them from renouncing their faith when the trial was at its greatest.
For a few examples of this kind of suffering and endurance, you might try reading "Fox's Book of Martyrs" and "Jesus Freaks". Both books contain many accounts of people who suffered for their faith, and how they endured the various trials.

Yes I do, because when you have the peace of Christ within your heart no circumstance is able to defeat you. There are times when we allow the circumstances to control us, but if we remember that Christ is mightier than any circumstance and has the answers to all situations we know peace that passes all understanding even in the midst of tragedy.

Yes, I have peace and comfort through trials and tribulation because of my faith in God and Jesus. We are only human, and at times forget to experience this life with an eternal perspective.
