Why do people keep saying this? Do you guys know what an ITIN is? Illegals do pay taxes with this number. Also if an illegal wants to be legal they have to show prove they have been doing their taxes. Most Illegal immigrants have an ITIN to fill their taxes (they want to become legal one day) and even though they didnt had one, taxes are subtracted away from their pay checks. How many people do you think are getting pay under the table now this days (please provide proof)?
Also Illegals pay sale taxes, and also the buy things here. illegals dont steal you job, they take what we have left, what we dont want.
Illegals are just doing it for the LULZ.

Yes, they pay taxes- and, a LOT file for ITIN numbers. You are exactly right. They want to be able to be legal if there is another amnesty, so, they are sure to pay taxes. I do taxes for several undocumented in the area, and, I know another lady that helps them fill out the paperwork for the ITINS. ITINS are available to people that are illegally here. All you ever wanted to know about ITINS:

How do I know if I need an ITIN?
If you do not have an SSN and are not eligible to obtain an SSN, but you have a requirement to furnish a federal tax identification number or file a federal income tax return, you must apply for an ITIN. By law, an alien individual cannot have both an ITIN and an SSN.
IRS processes returns showing SSNs or ITINs in the blanks where tax forms request SSNs. IRS no longer accepts, and will not process, forms showing "SSA205c," "applied for," "NRA," blanks, etc.

Ok IF the state they happen to buy products in carries a sales tax, they pay very little into the system. Many pay little to no federal or state income tax due to the ability to claim more dependents than you have. This is IF they illegally came up with a SSN and work for a company that pays into the tax system. Many work under the table and are paid in cash, then use the system to get other services. Example, If they live in Michigan, there is no sales tax on food items, if other items are bought at flea-markets or garage sales, no taxes are collected. If they rent, again no taxes. Many to not legally register their vehicles, so no sales taxes on that sale or registration fees. Now if they are working on an illegal SSN, they claim the maximum dependents, and again pay little to no taxes. They do not file returns, because this would prove their status, so again if anything is owed it is not paid. Now even if the state carries a sales tax on food items, they use the food banks because of their limited income, and again pay no taxes for the food items. You see there are many ways around the system and many know exactly how to do this.

What is an ITIN?
An ITIN is a nine-digit Individual Taxpayer Identification Number issued by the U.S. Internal Revenue Service (IRS) to foreign individuals who are required to have a U.S. taxpayer identification number but are not eligible to obtain a social security number (SSN). ITINS begin with the number "9" and are formatted like a SSN (NNN-NN-NNNN).
The ITIN is for tax purposes only. It does not entitle the individual to social security benefits, and creates no inference regarding the individuals immigration status or right to work in the U.S.

An ITN is just a method of filling out a tax reporting form. It does not imply that one who fills it out pays a penny. In fact the majority of Illegal Immigrants are either reporting only partial income or, income subject to zero withholding if they report anything at all.
So no Illegals don't pay taxes or at least not nearly enough for their care and feeding.

The fact that they may or may not be in voluntary/involuntary compliance with our taxation policies does NOT detract from the fact that they are here illegally. Paying taxes does not ameliorate that condition. It only keeps the IRS out of the situation.

Let's get out of the weeds here folks. Some pay some taxes; some don't. But, all things considered, whether some do or don't pay taxes....all inputs and all outputs factored in....
Illegal immigration costs the US Taxpayer at least $70 billion annually.

So let's not play word games....ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION COSTS THE US TAXPAYER......regardless of whether they do or dont pay taxes.
The simple fact is they take away more than they put in.
Got it?

Even if that is true, and it is not, the citizens of the USA have the right to fund and set their own immigration policies, for our wants and needs and not the illegals no matter how many, how hard working or well intended

If they have a valid tax-identification number and pay taxes, then they are not "undocumented" -- even if they may have skipped some other immigration law requirements (thus making them "illegal" for some other reason).
That's the problem with the term "illegal" --- it just means some law has been violated, without specifying what law.
Anyone who drives (in the US) without a valid drivers license is "illegal" -- even if they are a citizen, or a legal resident alien, or whatever -- and the same for many other examples.

Illegal day laborers do not pay taxes on the cash they earn. fact.
Also, when you claim 10 dependents like most do since they are here illegally, you sure has hell don't get any taxes taken out of you check.

You ask how many people do we think get paid under the table and ask for proof....well, if you know how many, why dont you back up your ascertains with facts and sources as well?
Some do pay taxes, but many more do not....and even if they did pay taxes, what they take out of the system is alot more than what they put in....see link below:
