Well it all depends. Ask yourself these question
1. How much money are you willing to spend.
2. Is she a type of girl that would appreciate going to a good restaurant or feel intimidated by it.
3. Are you trying to impress her or show her a good time.
4. Are you trying to buy her affection.

Every girls personality is different. Some would feel uncomfortable in a fancy restaurant and just would rather eat at McDonald's. However there are some girls who do like getting spoiled and love to be taken to a nice restaurant.
I personally would take her to a mid range restaurant. Something small like an Italian bistro or if your daring take her to Chili's or Apple-bees something to that effect. Also keep in mind that you will probably won't be able to take her out regularly to an expensive restaurant.

Now if you want to make a good first impression go and take her a fancy restaurant but be cautious because if all goes well you don't want to really bite more than you can chew

No. Neither of you will be really comfortable at too expensive a restaurant. Go somewhere fun. Do you have a place that has good food and video games like Dave & Busters? Go to a pizza place and play some games together.

~NEVER EVER DO THAT! It puts her in the mindset that you are courting her. Take her to the coffeeshop so you can talk and get to know each other a little better, and the most you have to spend on her is a couple dollars for coffee, if you feel like paying for it! Take her out to eat AFTER you are in a relationship, where she has shown you that she is worth spending money on.

Also if you take her to an expensive place, she will be expecting it all the time.

no, actually you should take her somewhere she'll never forget. Taking her out to eat is something every other guy will do, let her remember you forever -- take her to the park, pack a romantic lunch and leave her begging for more --- don't forget that you are the prize, not her ---- if you keep thinking that way, you will end up a desperate man that will settle for anything --- and then you'll marry the first girl who comes along --- (in other words, she was lucky to get a date with you, not the other way around -- that's the way you should think)

Ask her what kind of food she likes and find something middle priced. If you go too low it's tacky, but if you go to high I think it looks like you're trying to hard. For high school dates, I would say somewhere like Fridays is good. They have something for everyone as far as food, and it's a pretty relaxed atmosphere. Good luck on your date!! =)

You don't have to bring her to an expensive restaurant.this doesn't always make dates perfect.wherever you take her just remember to make her feel special! When you pick her up...open the door for her.Flowers!!!Don't forget to give her flowers..white if possible.there's something special about receiving white roses.Be a gentleman!

Take her to a really nice one at least. It doesn't have to be expensive, but considering the way girls are these days, that could be a good idea.

can you afford an expensive restaurant? choose a restaurant with a good "atmosphere, setting" rather than expensive. also one with good food.
