Tape doesn't stick well to the carpet... What else can I do? Any kinds of brushes I can use or something?

go to home depot or lowes etc and they have a metal tool that is a wide blade with a handle, it will fit down between the carpet and the wall, protecting the carpet while letting you reach all the way to the bottom of the wall, you just slide it along as you paint. Just ask in the paint department, and be sure you get a mediumd to large one. The small one doesn't work well.

You could use a drywall tapping knife.Slide it down to the floor and gently pull the knife towards you. That will let you paint the bottom of the wall.
