How long were you in a LDR before it got sour? What made you end it? Or are you still together???

I'm more interested in those that were not formed online.

Mine lasted 6 months after he was transferred to another state. I wasn't ready to leave my home, family, friends and career. We did OK but he began pushing for me to leave towards the end and I just called it all off. We actually were engaged prior to him leaving. Worse thing for us wasn't the distance but the fact he accepted such a move without really discussing it with me. I think that killed it more then the distance, it was the beginning of the decline.

Now I have a man who is 2 hours away but his odd schedule is the hard part. We are going on 5 months and not sour but we do have frustrating moments. Part of a relationship is the gentle touches on a bad day, those are hard to go without.

Zoe, sorry but mine was on-line. I met this women on-line a little over 3 years ago and we lived 2.5 hours from each other. We spoke on the phone or on-line every night and after about 3 months ended up meeting each other. We dated for 3 years and just May 20 of this year walked down the aisle together. I am one lucky individual I realize because there are a lot of horror stories about both long distance relationships and meeting on line. Sure before I met my wife I was chatting it up with some losers and users but was careful with the amout of info I shared with them. There are people on line that are there to find a cash machine, thankfully I was blessed by meeting my soul mate. Felt like the biggest loser in the world even going to such extremes to meet someone but all worked out and I am very grateful to report that.
