I've read most of the questions on infected tattoos and have gotten alot of good information. However, after i have tried some of the things mentioned ( bacitracin, lotion, neosporin etc) some parts are still infected. not warm or painful just look like dried pus in places.i have wrapped it before.it seems like when i wrap them they just stay gooy and moist like they wont ever heal. the tats are ruined and i know i need to get them fixed but for now i just want them to heal.they are on my wrists and about 12 days old. the infection didnt seem there until about 4 days ago. if all else fails like in the next few days, i will go to a doctor. thanx in advance :)

I find it amazing that there are all these schmucks that "hang out" in the tattoo section and then answer questions like- "tattoos are stupid" or "you're stupid if you get a tattoo, they're permanent (duh)" or "tattoos are gross." It's like give me a break!! Don't these people have anything better to do? Like your first answerer.
Sorry, I read your first answer and I have seen so many today enough was enough, I had to go off!!
I would give you advice but there are people that already answered that said the exact thing that I would have so listen to them.

Try tattoo goo, tat wax, etc. Try something that a tattoo shop sells & quit using stuff out of your medicine cabinet. Stop wrapping it; It should have only been wrapped for the first few hours after it was done.

don't wait to go to the doc. go now. You need a good antibiotic cream and possibly oral antibiotics as well. I'm sorry you are having trouble, I haven't seen your prior posts, why are your tats "ruined" just because of a little infection? It sounds like maybe you went to the wrong tatto artist. If they are still bleeding after the first couple of hours, he/she probably used the wrong size needle and went to deep. You need those to dry out so they can heal
I wish you good luck. In the future, always check with the health department and BBB for complaints against the shop/artist before you have them done. Poor hygiene and lack of proper cleaning, trying to reuse needles and poor training can really cause you some serious and potentialy life threatening infections.

1 st it was put in to deep shouldn't bleed if it is done right.
2 nd dont use petroleum base suave.
3 rd take the wrap off after 2 or 3 hrs.and after 3 days stop putting creams on it .let it heal naturally.
finally do some research on-line and use a pro.

TALK TO THE ARTIST!

do NOT follow instructions from people on yahoo answers! you should never put neosporin on a tattoo and you should never wrap it after the first hour that you got it.

the tattoo needs to breath to heal, use curel fragrance free 3 or 4 times a day for 2 weeks.
