I ran System Configuration and unchecked "Apdproxy" in the Start Up tab. Now, everytime I reboot, I get this message: "System Configuration is in Selective or Diagnostic Start Up causing this message to be displayed and the Utility to run with every Windows Start Up. Choose Normal and undo changes." But I don't want to undo the changes. I unchecked "apdproxy" for a reason."

Is this message just telling me that I've made a change or does it have a problem with what I've done?

Is it ok to check the box under the message - the one saying not to show the message again and not to run the Utility on start up? Or would checking that box be a bad thing?

Thank you! They should say in the message that this is just an alert to let you know that you made changes instead of making it sound like you've done something horrible to your computer.

You are on the right path... just check the box not to remind you... It's another annoying message from Microsoft saying we know whats better for you than you do.....

Yes, it is ok to check it so it doesn't bring the warning up every time you boot. If been running a selective startup for years, it won't hurt anything.

You need to get the adproxy spyware off the system though.

Hi. Yes, checking that box will stop the message.
