To go Number 2..not to be nasty...but I hear about people being in there for hours and I'm in and out in 3 min or less??

it takes me about 3 minutes too! or if i get a stomach ache i'm in there for 10 minutes.
i don't get how people can stay in there for like...AN HOUR!!!!
well i was watching this show, and this couple said they took an hour pooping, and the lady said, "What? That long? What, you spend half an hour wiping?"
I think 5 minutes is the correct time...i'm not sure though. I don't think it really makes a difference.

It does vary from person to person, in a person with a healthy diet, with exercise included in their day a few minutes is the norm. This means that your digestive system is working the way it is supposed to.
If a person has to be in the bathroom for hours in order to defecate, there is something wrong with them. They may have bad diets or they actually may have other physical problems which are contributing to the difficulty.

3-5 min. at the most. I guess some people need more fiber in their diet.

it needs to flow easily. "fluffy floaters, not stinky sinkers" !taking hours to go means clogging and that's bad news. we have 5-25 lbs. of impacted fecal matter in our intestines. doing cleanses and eating lots of greens is important to avoid cancer, ect. gross, but important topic!!!
