Are there physical stereotypes of what you perceive Christian women to look like? The idea that someone "types" me by my faith is amusing. I'd love to hear...and Xtian ladies..feel free to chime in and dispell the myths.

I don't know if a woman is christian by her look, I know it by the fact that she tries to convert me.

Wow. I think the people who are answering this question have had very limited interaction with Christian women. I am a Christian, and I have known many Christian women throughout my life--there is no set of characteristics for every Christian, woman or man, just the fact that we all believe in God and in His Son Jesus Christ. There are Christian women who wear skirts and those who wear jeans, those who wear makeup and those who do not, those who are beautiful and those who are not, those who are overweight and those who are thin, those who are uneducated and those who have earned MDs and PhDs.

As an example, I wear skirts or jeans depending upon the weather and my mood, am of average weight, wear some makeup, and am working on a PhD. I think stereotypes are generally wrong anyways, and this is no exception.

The typical stereotype would be as someone mentioned long dresses, no makeup etc. All the stuff that the person who wrote the long list of garbage doesn't even describe a Godly woman. The Godly woman is not concerned about how the world sees her. She is concerned with pleasing her Lord with the way she dresses and the way she lives her life. Proverbs 31:10-Favor is deceitful, and beauty is vain:but a woman who feareth the Lord, she shall be praised. I strive to be that woman.
Some of the most beautiful women I know are the Conservative Mennonites with their cape dresses, no makeup and headcoverings. These ladies love the Lord with all their heart.
They don't care that people stare at them because of the way they dress. Now you can still be a Godly woman and not dress like them as long as your clothing is modest and you are dressing to please God and not people.

Dunno, but my on variety of Christian (Mormon) seems to have a lot of stereotypes...

Heavy-set, blond/blue-eyed (or at least Caucasian), bangs, permanently happy, with a casserole in hand...

Uh...
I'm 5'3", 125 lb, brown hair (cut really short- almost butch?). blue eyes... and the only time I have a casserole in hand is somewhere between my oven and my table, on evenings I don't work... sometimes... good luck with that!

I recently acquired a new sister-in-law... and she matches this stereotype of the LDS woman-- NOT AT ALL!!! She's my height, but completely opposite coloring-- she's black. She's a little more robust than I am. I wear a size 8, I think she wears a 10. About the casserole thing, I don't really know, as she and my brother live on the East coast, and I live in CO....

Mormons, like Christians of every other stripe, come in a variety of colors, shapes and sizes. They speak a variety of dialects and languages. They even vote in a variety of directions (Not all Christians are Republican).

Stereotypes are pretty darn silly in view of that fact!

Like I know that some people use abreviations and such just to be Lazy . But I feel that your useage of Xtians is way out of line. Chime? I dont do Ebonics ( low mentality conversations), nor do I ever press 1 for English! I percieve (stereotype) that judging by your useage of Xtians that you are not a Christian. Christians never use such words! Thanks for my opertunity to stereotype you. Dont blame me,,,,,,you asked for it!!!!

I know Christian women who are beautiful. Wear nice clothes,
makeup and take care of their bodies. So, what is your problem against Christian women? Believe it or not, ones who
really know their faith aren't out to convert you, they know who
they are in Christ and are respectful. That's what it's like at
my church. Our men are real men , not men who are PW!

Nope. I don't have no stereotypes of Christians. Just that we are all human. As for extremists well I hate extremists of any religion including my own. Anybody who believes stereotypes is an idiot.
