I would tell them ahead of time. My daughter has done that with me and it lessens the blow. Make sure you do your best to bring that bad grade back up.

Explain to them that at this point you are having difficulty with math. Unfortunately the class got the best of you and you got a bad grade, however based on your bad grade you will do your best to get help, via tutor, teacher, classmate, etc to build your grade up. And make sure you ask them for their support, your parents will always love you even if you get one bad grade or two. Good luck!

Tell them the truth. Tell them that you know you didn't do the best you could and that you are really really sorry that you didn't put your best effort into it. Do you need additional tutoring in Math? If so, ask them to get you assistance like after school tutoring. It's their job to make sure that you have all the tools to succeed. You have to make sure that you use these tools.

I argued with my mom the other day saying she did not know how to help me w/ my algebra. She said, no, that she knew how to do algebra and that my dad didn't and she tried to show him once and he got mad and threw a pencil across the room. I don't remember it that way and maybe we are dealing w/ four people who can't do algebra (me,you, my mom and dad).My graduating class was class of 1981.
This too shall pass....
Good luck!

apologise to your parents, and promise to them that you will try harder in your studies. make them believe you, by saying things like "i'll get a tutor, i'll stay after school"

things like that will put some confidence in them, and not punish you

good luck

Get drunk, get in a fight with them, take their car to your boyfriends' house, pass out, wake up with more problems.

You will be fine.

Study harder!
