Okay, before I ask I need to let everyone know that where I am from 14 is the legal age.

I started apprenticing a guy from a tattoo shop local. He has been doing tattoos for over 20 years and is the best one in the area. He is 37, I'm 17. We have been messing around at the shop, and going on dates and stuff. But he is married and has one kid with her.

What should I do?

And our age difference is perfectly legal.

him and his wife are on very bad terms. she calls the shop a lot to yell at him if a client doesnt show up for there appointment.

We havent had sex or anything of the sort. We just kiss a lot, and stuff like that.

Wow.. that sounds like me lol. Except I'm not apprenticing or anything, I just got a tattoo by this guy that's around that age, married with a kid, and he happens to be this really great artist on the side. It's really sad, I know.

My suggestion is- quit while you're ahead. I know it's hard, but you've gotta distance yourself before you get in too deep and it's that much harder to leave. Apprentice at another shop and try to meet someone more available.

However, if things are really souring with his wife, tell him t contact you if they ever get divorced. You two could be meant to be.

P.S.- his name isn't Jimmie is it? haha

He's married, he has a committment to his wife and child and he has a responsibility to stop what's going on unless and until he ends it with them (and they'll always be in his life if he does). You need to think about how you'd feel with a child with your spouse doing this to you but ultimately the impetus is on him to stop. And if you're in "love" and not just messing around know that chances are very slim that feelings are reciprocated so take it as a chance to learn.

Also the old saying applies - "If he does it with you, he'll do it to you."

If he is married, with a child, you should stay away from him. You never mess around with a married man. That will earn you the reputation as a home wrecker, and Karma is a *****. Plus, you do know he will most likely never leave his wife for you, right?

Run, don't walk, away from this guy. It doesn't matter if it's 'legal' it's morally wrong. Go find someone your age who is single.

My answer still stands.

Stay away from him. How would you feel if you were married and your husband was hooking up with a 17 year old CHILD? Just remember...what comes around goes around and you should put an end to this affair NOW.

you are well on your way to being a home wrecker. you should back off. many guys say their marriage is over or horrible to their misstress... why wouldn't they? if their marriage is truly on the rocks and on it's way out the door then you should wait until that happens. but also remember that if he'll cheat on her why wouldn't he cheat on you? the age difference is not really a big deal. i once dated a much older guy. it seems weird to me now but at the time i didn't care. age has nothing to do with it... you're dating a cheater and you are the other woman.

Do wahtever you want but, know that the wife, is the wife. The chances of him leaving her for you are very slim. Even if he cheats, the wife is always the main squeeze. Your probably just a sidekick.

You should talk to him about it. This is not a legal matter, it is a principaled matter. If he really did leave his wife for you he could leave you for another chick. The last post is right, Karma is a biatch! Good luck.
