Hey everyone :)
I'm trying to compile a list of cookery essentials to take to University. .both utensils and basic supplies!
I must say that i am a beginner in the kitchen and really have no idea where to begin. . .
It would be great if you could help me!
My appreciation in advance :)

Silverware, at least one sharp knife, can opener, plates, bowls, cups & mugs, just a few, you don't need too many, maybe two cups and 1 mug. One pot, one skillet, a colondar if you want to cook and drain noodles, spatula, rubber scrapper and whisk. You could bring a small microwave if you wanted, a small fridge too. A pitcher for kool-aid :o)

A microwave and little fridge for your room if they allow it. A little cheap flatware and glasses ("friends" make off with that), microwaveable containers, wooden spoons, a crockpot for soup, cheap melamine plates and bowls (see the "friends" part), a ladle, a can opener, a set of measuring cups and measuring spoons, and some knives (even if they're just steak knives). And if you have access to a dorm kitchen, a timer. I like the one you can wear around your neck. And don't take your eyes off your food, people will snitch it.
Those are pretty much the basics off the top of my head from my memories of college.

will you be in an apt, or a dorm? This really does matter.
I started out with one sauce pan, a coffee maker -- for coffee but also to heat water for hot cocoa and ramen noodle type stuff. And one small cookie sheet.
