What do you think? Should they lower it to 18? Or keep the age at 21? And why do you feel that way? Just curious.

everyone i party with, like the ones who actually party, started when they were like 12 or 13 anyways. doesn't matter man. depending on where you from, how your life's been and what you have access to basically sets your drinking age in my opinion. get wasted g :)

Well, here in Canada the drinking age IS 18, I don't see why the States want to be so different. Plus, if they lowered the drinking age, there would be less illegal drinking being done in secret, and parents or spouses would worry just a little less, ya know where I'm getting at?

It doesn't matter a whole lot to me now, but I know back then it did. Every time they raised it, I was so close! I think most kids drink by 18 if they are going to anyway. Legalize it and they will get over the need a lot quicker. Could end up with more early pregnancies though and more accidents..who knows.

it didnt work in 1980( I was 18 in 78 when it was 18,, we seemed to be fine with it,) so then seems like in 1980 the kids started getting in more wrecks, the thought was we can send the 18 yo to fight and die, but they cant drink,
I think there are too many people on the road now, and kids are not as mature as they were back then,,
leave it 21 or raise it even higher,

If you can go to Iraq and fight for our country and you can vote for the president at 18 then you should be able to drink.....

I have one story.
In 1973, Maryland lowered the drinking age to eighteen. There were allot fights off Maryland campus. County police had allot arrests. It was a disaster.

It should be 18. If you are old enough to vote and serve your country than you should be old enough to drink.

I don't think they should lower it. Kids are stupid enough without drinking. I don't think anyone should drink anyway though. Its just stupid.

18-year-olds are irresponsible enough as it is. And so are many 21-year-olds. If anything, it should be raised.
