Surely an infallible being would create a world to his exact speicification, why create things in such a way as to leave the universe open to interpretation?

My opinion...I don't pretend to have the mind of God. Angels never, including Satan, have to have faith. They knew God from the moment they were created.
I think God made man so that people would come to Him through faith. If that makes me foolish, then so be it. He gave us the God inspired Word, Christ and Savior. He put the desire in our hearts to find Him, or not. It's about free will.

God is infallible because God is truth. God can be interpreted in many different ways which is why we have many different religions and view points. When any specific religious group claims to have God exclusively to themselves they misunderstand what God is. God is not a man with a white beard sitting up in the clouds watching us. God is everything and everywhere. God is the process of all that takes place around us. God is you and I. God is truth.

He is omnipotent (all powerful), so He can be both infallible and fallible at the same time.
