Frontline drops are only good for short coated dogs. If your dog has a fluffy coat, use the spray type. Use Frontline Plus if you also want the eggs of the fleas eliminated. The only difference between Frontline and Advantage is that, Advantage has a an anti-heart worm substance in it. So with that you wouldnt need to have a separate shot for heart worms. And no, they dont kill after the bite, they kill on contact and the application lasts for a month even afer numerous baths.

I dont use anything like that on my animals. If it kills the bugs... imagine what it is doing to the animal. Anyhow... I reccomend to everyone to go out and buy Lavendar baby shampoo. Wet the animal... and put the soap... let the animal sit in the soap about 5 min... then rinse out like normal and then dry. the fleas for whatever reason do not like the baby shampoo and they die. I use lavendar cause it smells nice. I say animal cause i bathe my cats the same way.

I hope that helps. Regular (not sented like lavendar... ) works the same as the lavendar kind.
