Well, since I have a son that would be a no. Don't get me wrong, there are plenty of people who shouldn't have children but it has nothing to do with their religion (or lack of.)

I'm Christian. I don't have anything against anyone from any belief system having children. But I am also aware that when anyone has children, that child will search through other religions. You may have a child and he may become a pagan, a Christian, a Buddhist. Just because someones born into a certain faith doesn't mean they stay in it.
But as long as you teach your child good values, make sure they have a good head on their shoulders, what's the problem?

Only if there is proof that all Atheists abuse and neglect their children. We can't start taking children away because their parents are teaching them differently than we believe- in that case no one would have kids. As far as I know Atheists are just like all the rest of us and they take care of their children and love them. Making a law that takes children away from Atheist parents, would be unconstitutional.

I think she is ignorant. I am feeling sad for christians today. Ignorance is so common. I think that as time marches on more and more people come to know the untruth of religion. Could you imagine this forum in the 50's? Atheism is spreading. I hope her kids are Atheists.
And also she is an asshole.

Umm, people will have babies if they want to. It's their choice. And I know some people who are in my church who "claim" to be Christians who shouldn't have children. If someone's going to say that atheists shouldn't have children, why not go down on the other religions?

Ugh!! I am not a bit surprised. A good majority of the Christians who answered this question asked by Grim Jack said they would rather that their child die than for the child to stop being Christian. http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AgCc4.Kg.qJKuRcAVHZwbGPsy6IX?qid=20070716111544AA4KlsR
WHAT IS WRONG WITH THESE PEOPLE?!!

Why the F not? If it's because you will "brainwash" them--every kid is going to come to the age where they question what they were taught as they grew up and make their own choice. They do come with their own perfectly working little brains, you know.

If they're like most of the bashers and trolls in this section, then no, they probably shouldn't procreate, not good for the gene pool. Of course, if they happen to be mature, intelligent atheists, that would be a different story.
