My sister just called me screaming about her mother in law...
her mother in law is going to be visiting in two weeks and called her today because..
she was cleaning out her closet and said that she wanted to bring her some presents...
turns out she has switched over to thongs and has a surplus of old underwear...
she wants to bring my sister her old underwear as a present...now my sister didn't know what to say because she was so shocked so she just said "Ok"
now she is freaking out about it!!
how does she get out of this one and let down her mother in law gently?
I would help her but I can't stop laughing

This gross out deserves to be one upped; Your Sis should tell her MIL she is going commando these days. That's right no undies or thongs, tell her that her Doctor recommended it. Maybe the MIL will do the same and she'll never have to worry about used undies again. If MIL is already on the way, plead guilty to being distracted while on the phone last time and suggest the Goodwill donation bin.
Please let us know the outcome to this very funny situation.

Omg!!!!! First off, did you know it is against the law to try on underwear in a dressing room at the store? Even old underwear. It's unsanitary, and can cause bacteria and diseases. Honestly, I think I would have thrown the underwear in the mother in laws face, then told my husband off. Either the mother in law is stupid, or doesn't really think much of her daughter in law.
One time, a friend of mine was at a bar, and this girl threw a used tampon at her cause, well, apparently my friend ticked her off. My friend beat the snot out of her after the bartender poured whiskey over the leg the tampon touched. The cop actually took my friends side, and it was considered attemptive murder(considering aids is transfered by blood).
I think the mother in law needs an honest A S S beating, she is trying to harm your friend by giving her used underwear. WTF? I feel sorry for her. Good luck, hope it works out(Pardon my french, but that is seriously messed up).

The best thing to do would be to kindly tell her that she has enough panties at the moment, and perhaps her MIL might want to donate them to her local Goodwill or thrift shop. If she still persists, then she should just flat out tell her that she does not feel comfortable wearing others undergarments.
If its really supposed to be a present perhaps the MIL should rethink the whole gift giving concept. ;) Used panties are really not re-gifting or the gift that keeps on giving.

Just take the gift and don't use them. Throw them away. Who is really going to check to see if you're wearing used underwear?

I would just tell her that she has plenty of underwear and has no need for used undergarments. Thanks for the thought but maybe good will will take them. There is no point of auguring with crazy as it gets you no where.
