I just got my eagle papers back and I need to plan and set up a court of honor. I am not the type of person to come up with a program and do that type of thing. I am pretty nervous and stressed about it. So If anybody has any great ideas for me that would be great. Thanks.

Check your scout manual or ask your troopleader for programs from previous ceremonies.

If you are the 1st in your troop, ask your district adviser. They would have an idea of what you need.

Congrats on earning Eagle. You will find out that you are among the elite. Well Done!

Hello:

Congratulations on your award. Don't sweat the ceremony. If you are low-key, keep the ceremony simple. Invite those who have helped you earn the award, and thank them for their help. Remember your parents, and keep the ceremony stuff short and moving along. A good target time frame is 45 minutes. Serve a light snack at the end, such as a sheet cake with an eagle on it, or ice cream.

Some Scouts like to make a display of the awards that they earned while working on the Eagle, or a display of the project.

For specific ceremony ideas, try the US Scouting Service Project (USSSP) at and enter Eagle Scout Ceremony in the search engine.

The Scouter Forum at http://www.scouter.com/ has some good ideas. At the moment, it is down for maintenance, but should be up and running Thursday.

You might also try your favorite search engine (try http://www.goodsearch.com) and enter Eagle Scout Ceremony and see what you get.

Keep on Scoutin'
