You have to be taking the piss. Ok, very calmly and while despairing for the future of the planet i will tell you, without trying to be patronising, that at the time of Jesus, Mexico as you know it did not exist. Jesus is a name that was brought over with the Conquistadores who were from Spain and Portugal and conquered South America. They named people after Jesus which is in fact a hebrew name, not a Mexican one.

I have a feeling that Jesus' name would not have been written as such in ancient Hebrew. I think that was a slightly different language than spanish. Maybe not much, but slightly. Also, Mexicans as we know them today did not exist at the time of Jesus. Spanish was certainly not spoken in that part of the world either.

Jesus is the Greek form of the Hebrew name that also gives us the modern name Joshua. It is most commonly used as a given name in Spanish speaking countries.

Jesus is a derived from the name Joshua or vice-versa.
The word Jesus means Saviour.

Jesus in Spanish is pronounced ( hey - zeus ) which is a whole different thing than ( gee - zus ) but is is not an original Spanish word.

E-salvation is "through Jesus-->Christ".
For Jesus is only the Saviour of Israel.

OMG! Please tell me you're not serious!!

Jesus comes from the Hebrew name "Yeshuah". There is actual debate as to the true name of Jesus, though.
