looking for cheap reception site in massachusetts that can accommodate LESS than 20 people? our reception will probably only have about 15 people at it...
any suggestions/ideas?

Where abouts in Mass are you? The local Knights of Columbus or Amvets center will usually host receptions rather inexpensively. Or, if all else fails, have it at a friend's home or back yard.

I agree you should check halls in your area like the Knights of Columbus, Elks, Post 440 etc. I don't know what your budget is or what you consider cheap, but the larger rooms in these types of halls were around $350 (specifically the Post 440 in Newton) when I was married 8 years ago. I am sure you could get a reasonable rate for a small party.
