To have them build a fence across the U.S.-Mexican border and have them work from their side of the fence only.

Do you agree?

Fences are too costly to maintain. We need concrete walls such as those that make industrial warehouses so strong.

Illegals often work on these but they're not necessarily Mexican (nothing wrong with Mexicans in general, just illegals specifically).

As for the ladders-&-shovels argument, yes, it has merit...THEREFORE: we need TWO WALLS RUNNING PARALLEL!!! And there must be many, many, MANY dogs in between.

Imagine that if the walls run parallel and are at least a hundred feet apart, how tough would it be for a deserter (they're leaving their countries in time of need) to fall from a 25-foot wall, gather up his/her flexible ladder, jump over barbed-wire barriers, out-run 120 lb German Shepherds, toss that flex-ladder over the wall and make it hook, and climb it before the BP's get there?

Just a thought.

Building a physical fence won't matter in either side (Canadian Border or Mexican Border)...remember that a lot of Asian illegals come from Canada, because they will cross by sea if (like many do)...the solution is no jobs. I should rephrase...no companies that provide those jobs..but that will never happen. People is too greedy when it comes to profits >:(

About half of illegal immigrants in the USA are visa overstayers, not people who entered illegally. A fence solves, at best, half the problem. There will still be cases of people who tunnel under the fence or enter by sea.
