chance of all my cats getting sick, have 3 kittens 4 months old and also a 12 year old cat. I was supposed to isolate the foster kittens for 10 days so now I am in a mess.
I don't know if isolating them would really prevented anything. The older kittens are now sneezing alittle and one has watery eyes. Help.

Come on guys, I was looking for a little support from this site. Yes I admit I made a mistake letting the new kittens play with mine but I have learned a lesson for sure.

Its likely that your kittens have caught what the foster kittens have (upper respiratory infections most likely). You will need to take the kittens with the symptoms to the vet to get antibiotics. Re-isolate the foster kittens for the rest of the 10 days, and make sure they are fully recovered before you let them back out into the general population.

Thank you for fostering the little guys. Good luck.

Upper respiratory infections are common in new kittens and are easily transmitted to other cats. You have to keep them apart, wash your hands between handling them, etc. Most of the time it will clear up on it's own if it is mild, but since you have a 12 year old I'd really watch her closely so that if something develops you can get it treated asap. It's more dangerous in older cats.

Time to put EVERY single cat in the house on the same regiment of medications. Keep treating them ALL until the last symptoms have been gone for 1 full week. Good luck!

you should keep them isolated! it is possible that they may get sick, but just take them to the vet and treat them.. remember that foster kittens could have many hidden diseases that your cats can get, which is why you always isolate them when you bring them home the whole time till you bring them back to the shelter! good luck and hopefully your cats will be ok..

thanks for fostering

There is a good chance all or many of your cats will get sick. Ask the vet if you should give them all medication.

Your going to have to take them all to the vets now, and do what the Vet says, its going to be hard for a time but you can do i. just use your common sense and you and you cats will be ok:)

make sure you do what the vet says, your in a pickle at the moment, but have faith in yourself and do what is best.

You have been careless and you have risked the lives of all of your cats. You need to get them to the vet immediately.

It is possible that they have caught an upper respiratory problem, or even worse Panleukemia. I would suggest getting it to your vet immediately.

You were told what to do and you didn't do it. What good would anything we say do?

Take them to the vet.
