If you get hate mail...do you respond to it??? I don't really get much but the first time I got one, I actually responded to it. It didn't do much by replying, they weren't trying to hear my point of view. There's no reasoning with the type of people who send hate mail anyway. So I decided not to reply to any more hate mail after that. I don't think people should give them the satisfaction of responding. So do you reply your hate mail?

Yes I do. My answer to hate mail is " I would have a battle of wits with you, but you are quite unarmed."

Sometimes, I do. If the hate mail is just a bunch of poorly punctuated cursing and ranting, I'll delete it. However, if the sender is showing serious concerns and is posing a legitimate question (which is rare, but it happens), then I might respond. If I find the sender's comments interesting or amusing, or if they made me think, I might take the time to send a note back.

Depends... sometimes I get hate mail from people who didn't even read the answer, and who think I'm saying the opposite of what I've actually said. With such people, I usually can't help myself... I write back and point this out to them. :)

I respond to everyone that takes the time to e-mail me.

Now comments on my 360 are a different story - I usually just ignore those.

I do not accept any mail from Yahoo Answers. If I am interested in what people think I will ask them. Otherwise I see no reason to ruin my day by reading vitriol.

Depending on what it is in regards to.... if they are hating on me... no I don't respond... if they are hating on things I strongly believe in such as animal rights, civil rights, the enviroment etc I will respond to them will all the facts I can muster... that way they feel like a total dumb sh!t and then I block them.

I don't get a lot though...

Like you said - hate mail generally comes from those that really aren't interested in your point of view anyways.

Sometimes I can't help myself - they're so off-base its hard to not slap them back.

I don't usually get hate mail; sometimes I get messages from people who want to stroke their egos. Once I demonstrate that they are trying to manipulate/undermine the starting foundations, they suddenly have little or nothing to say.

Some of it. If all it is is an angry rant, I just let it pass. But if someone actually asks a question, I'll respond. I just try to keep it short and sweet.

Sometimes, if I think I can make anything intelligent to say after what they wrote. I do respond to certain comments that I can say something to make them think. As for letting ignorant people bother me,.....never!
