There is something 'missing' from your dream ... because if it was a 'family meeting' and your Grandfather came back to tell you 'who was going to die' then ALL of you should have been on his 'list.' So what names did your Grandfather NOT mention ... and what are your 'relationships' with those people. For some reason, your subconscious is telling you that 'we all must die' (your name was on your grandfather's list) but you think that some people are .... a. 'too good to die.' b. 'evil and going to hell.' or c. some other 'reason' you don't think they 'll die. Look inside YOURSELF for this 'answer.' It may not be 'terribly important' but can be a 'good indicator' of how you 'feel' about the various members of your family.

This is part of life, we are born, we grow and we die. Especially when we have old folks at home, more often when we get to certain age, more or less we will be thinking about the parents who bring us up. Subconsciously we accept the fact that everyone must die. Dreaming is subconscious behavior and it sometimes is telling us things we don't want to mention or talk about in day time. Dreaming of parents is the same thing in this case. Whether it is coincident or premonitory, dying is a process of life. In your case, if your parents still live, this kind of dream of dying serves as reminder of "more communication now before they actually depart". That is what the dream is about.

Dreams about death are rarely about physical death, most of the time they are about beginnings and endings. You don't say how long ago it was that your grandfather died, that could possibly have a bearing on it, if it is fairly recent, and if you havn't had much experience of family members dying, it could be due to fears on your part, pertaining to the mystery, and how it works. As other posters have said, there could be symbolisms here that pertain only to you, as opposed to universal meanings, and your religious beliefs may well have a bearing here. If it has been some time since your grandfather died, and alot of things have happened since then, perhaps your grandfather has come back to you as an authrority figure, noting that the people on his list have made or are about to make important life transitions, such as graduation, marriage, milestone birthdays and such, you may wish to go over the list, if you can remember it, and see if you can note such transitions for the people on it, you could be reviewing growth on the part of family members, and yourself, and using your grandfather as a higher authority so to speak to tell yourself about it... Or it could simply be an acknowledgement, depending on your beliefs, that you expect to meet him again one day, and an acknowledgement that everyone dies....

This may be a warning about a generational curse because of the prediction about death. The blood of Jesus has overcome every curse. In fact if you have not received Jesus as your Lord and savior you have not yet received eternal life. So you are spiritually dead so to speak. If your family is not christian this may be what the dream is about. I am on my intercessory prayer team at my church and we regularly pray that God appear and warn people in dreams and visions. If you need to receive Jesus call 1-800-759-0700 or go to CBN.com or wayofthemaster.com

There could be religious connotations, ie, some will be granted eternal life, while others will not. Consider your own religious notions and what you believe about the possibility of an afterlife. If your grandfather was a devout believer, this would be relevant in the message he delivered.

Dreams are not a prediction or sneak preview of the future. They are just random thoughts of the brain as the body sleeps. The brain is always active even during sleep. We just don't remember all that goes through ours minds as we sleep.

I think this dream is just a wake up call for you. You are probably worried about your health (who isn't right). You are probably worried about the heath or your parent too. You know they aren't going to be around forever. Thinking of the future has probably got you concerned.

my interpretation of that means (dieing means an ending to something and simultaneously means a new beginning, it doesn't mean dieing) that you will be improving and moving on, ending some ties to your past, perhaps getting married, going away because you're educating yourself, moving away for a career job, etc.

The old people say that that is the way of making your life longer...
So it is very beautiful dream. I had dream of my mother dying and they calmed me with it. That was 10 years ago and thanks to god my mother is alive and in good health.
All the best
