Nothing you are doing is useful - and you will make the poor dogs sick with all this shampoo, flea collars, and other useless stuff.

To keep ticks off your dogs, you need to use
Frontline Plus or Advantix (I use Advantix on all 6 of my dogs - no more problems). Yes, these products are also for fleas, but they work agains ticks very well.

As to the mites, no idea where they have them, but ear mites need a vet's help - take your dogs to the vet and get the mites off them, then use what the vet tells you, not harmful over the counter shampoos and collars.

The Advantix needs to be put on the back of the dog's neck EVERY SINGLE MONTH without fail to keep them flea and tick free.

Stop the shampoos before your dogs get really sick!!! Twice a week is terrible for their skin and coats = must be dry and itchy by now, poor things.

Please get them to a vet.

You're not using useful products. You're right, shampoos are not effective - neither is anything else from a store.

The fact that your dog's are inside dogs does not stop them contracting parasites, as you've discovered. Go to a vet and get them to give/recommend you a proper product. Advocate might be a good one to go with, it covers the widest spectrum of parasites. I would take the dog to be looked at so you know exactly which parasites your dog has and therefore which treatment it needs. Mites are not 'big' as you described, so I'm not convinced these actually are mites - mites are almost microscopic.

Dogs don't commonly get mites. You can't see mites..they are microscopic so if you are seeing anything it is likely fleas.. A vet is the only one that can diagnose your dog with them and IF your dogs do have mites the vet will give you the appropriate treatment.

Also OTC flea and tick products are useless and can be very dangerous to your dogs..DO NOT USE THEM!!!!
Go ot your vet and get a safe, effective flea/tick product.

I am a groomer so I see this all the time. At work if I see ticks we soak the dog in the flea dip (which kills the ticks also) and then try to pick off all of them. Unfotunately the flea collars don't work but the tick collars seem to work great. According to my customers that we have told to buy them they say that their dogs no longer have ticks. Those that choose not to take our advice always come back with more ticks.

Make sure you try to get all of them off your dogs first and then continue with treatments and a collar.

Good luck!

You need to take them both to the vet. Mites you can treat; however, they can come back and then you end up treating them again. Ticks may be able to be controlled by a monthly medication.

ask what your vet would recommend for them because they could have a high sensitive to the flee and tick stuff that you have used.
