Just because a man calls himself an atheist, doesn't mean God isn't working in his life.
Maybe the only "God" he's ever heard of is the false god of fundamentalists. If that is true, God will work in him as long as he is willing to live a life of love toward other people and love of himself.

I kind of sway back and forth with my beliefs in the after life. I tend to believe more in reincarnation and multiple lives as a way to educate yourself for the next level of being. This, along with Karmatic ties to those who are close to you that tend to appear in each life. So, in that sense, am I already separated from God?
To answer your question in a more Judeo-Christian manner; I would have to say that it would be worse. If you lived multiple lives on Earth without an Ascension to the next world you would eventually meet oblivion because some day the sun will die out. Granted, this will be billions of years from now and your time until then would probably be fun...but still, it might be kinda sucky. This is a small part of the reason I tend to believe in the after-after life.

even if you do not believe in God on earth, you still can experience some love, peace and happiness- in hell it is separation from God yes, and when that happens there will be no love, no peace, no happiness- and on top of that burning eternally will not be fun either. I chose to live my life on earth where I know I am experiencing His full love, peace and joy- and then when I die- because of Christ I can experience it in all it's fullness. Even on the most wonderful day of your life, it does not compare to seeing Jesus face and face.

Actually, it's supposed to be separation from everything, a complete isolation and inversion into the self. And it's self-inflicted. An atheist with no connection to humanity is just as wretched as a deluded God-monger.

The difference will be that you will know the truth and it will be forever out of reach. A so called athiest on Earth, just acts like truth does not exist. If they believe in Truth they are not athiest. Truth and God are the same thing.

Correct. And we won't have to live with the God Squad also. Our technology will advance, and we will invade heaven, and subjugate the believers, and inmprision the Almighty, and create a real utopia once and for all.
However, women will still suffer from the lewd advances of sinful men, (wink).

it don't matter what god u believe in,,,, weather u do believe or not,,,, we all die,,,, weather it be natural or not,,,,, we all are destined to burn or be buried,,,, once we do,,,,, life still goes on for others that's a fact, who cares if theres a 'god' i don't,,,, if there was a god then the basket cases out there in this world who murder and rape and do horrific crimes should be struck down, well this is not the case,,,, they like live 4Eva,,,, no health problems etc, some people eh.... the good seem to die young, well if god allows this then shame on.

I read this quote in a book on Medieval Europe. Its about hell.
"The damned hung by their tongues from tree's of fire, the impenitent burned in furnaces, unbelievers smothered in foul-smelling smoke"
Found in: Miracles, Saints, And the Superstition; The Medieval Mind by Stephen Currie; 2007

Eh, not quite. Cuz there's a possibility of turning to God for an athiest, but there won't be a possibility of turning to God (and He recieving you) in Hell.

Separation from God means separation from all love, peace, joy and all good things. If that is the place you want, I am sure it will be arranged without any effort on your part.
