Try Capital One. They are fairly good at helping one to establish/re-establish credit. You will probably only get a 500 - 750 credit line to start with, but it will increase over time as you use it and PAY ON TIME!!!

with no credit at all you should def look into getting a card just for the sake of opening up a line of credit....you very likely won't get more than $500 to start, so just don't be stupid with it and max it out...emergencies only, and that would mean tire blow out or something, not a huge sale at the mall. Anyway, watch out for the companies that want a huge annual fee with one time set up fees and monthly maintenance fees. with these kinds of cards you could end up with a $400 balance from the get go before you ever even use the card. I think in your position you shouldn't shy away because of an annual fee, as long as they aren't trying to charge you all of the additional stuff. Good luck, and try capital one, they don't try to rape you in fees!

It took until I was 21 to get a credit card. I had no credit, not bad credit but i think no credit can be worse! The 1stI was able to get was a Capital One card, they only gave me a $400 limit, but now I have good credit & can get what I want. I would try for a Capital One.

Almost anybody (keyword almost) can get a credit card. Good credit will get you a good rate with a reasonable credit line. Bad credit will get you like a $200 credit line with a rate of darn near 30%.

You have nothing to lose by trying. but beware of those with big interest rates. some start you off low and then it goes up.
