Since it is the Opium of the masses it should be a Schedule 1 drug and carry a mandatory prison sentence just like pot.

Well there are plenty of mind-altering things that aren't drugs. Sleep, for example. But certainly many theists do share the symptoms of drug-dependent people, and there are numerous similarities between drug addiction and religion.

Well the followers act like addicts. They lose their faith if they don't get their weekly fix. Some even need it more then once a week. If they can't pray in schools every day, then they instantly become shooters.
