I would treat you like a dog -- as a pet, NOT a human. I have an apartment and would not want you here. If I had a house I would set up space for you so you can run around outside and play and stuff. I would not allow you to eat of my plates etc.
EDIT: As a side note -- I can only imagine why you are bringing this up but you should remember that ppl have looked at dogs as being "dirty" (especially compared to cats) for a very long time. This is not just some Islamic thing. It isn't until very recently that people have been treating thier pets as human beings.
edit: I don't think you should look at that hadith and think it's so easy. We never know if Allah will forgive us of certain things or not...look at the hadith to show that we should be good to animals and that we always have hope because Allah's mercy is greater than His wrath. We should also look at it and think we should not judge or speak badly of others because they could be better than us!!!

I would meow and run as fast as my legs could carry me...straight through my cat flap :)
Seriously, though I am more of a cat person, dogs have a purpose on earth as do all animals. The purpose of some dogs is to provide services to humans and some valuable services too...hearing/blind dogs, rescue dogs, etc...
"There is not an animal (that lives) on the earth, nor a being that flies on its wings, but (forms part of) communities like you. Nothing have we omitted from the Book, and they (all) shall be gathered to their Lord in the end. " [Qur'an 6:38]

It is impossible a man turned into a dog.We should treat well humans and other creatures including dog because rhey are created by Allah the only one God.In the hadith,a man who gave water to a thirsty dog,he was rewarded by God.All of his sins were forgiven.

Antwan. It seems that U have lots of imagination and fantasy in your mind. Why don't U imagine to become a Camel instead of dog ? During this Ramathan, it is best for Muslim to recite Al Quran Nul Kareem or recite Zikrullah to overcome your imagination.

This is totally un-Islamic concept.
As per the teachings of Islam, man is the combination of three things,
Soul, body and Nafs, these three things are always specific to each other, for one specific man, can never interchanged with any other body, soul or nafs, of some other man or animal.

I love dogs aside from Pitbulls. I'd treat you nice. If you were a pitbull then I might end up shooting you if you came near me. Or I'd stay far away from you.

Now why would you think of something like that???
Anyway... IF (though that's far from possible) that happened, I wouldn't treat you any differently.
I have no problem with dogs, I'll just make sure that you're far away from the places I pray, and you don't drull on my close.
(still, it's weird that you ask such a question).
Peace.
