Right, for the last few weeks, I have been noticing a lot of jokes at the expense of McCanns as well as jokes made straight after the deaths of Pavrotti and Marcell Marceau.

Now, I'm not a prude. I love a joke as much as the next person but please tell me I'm not the only person who is sick of these type of jokes coming up, especially those about the McCanns which assume that they are guilty of murdering/harming Madeline.

Now, don't get me wrong. I have doubts about their innocence but I have also doubts of their guilt. Regardless of that, I just think people who make jokes about the McCanns are insulting that little girl's memory, if nothing else and they see such a sensitive subject as a quick way to make a joke. These people make me so mad!!

I just need to know that I'm not the only who's got a conscience to feel sad about these awful jokes. And as for those who feel they can make jokes, I hope you're ashamed and I hope you feel it more when she is found, dead or alive.

Just to stress a point, especially to perfect angel. Most of these jokes don't even indicate what they're about. All they have is "Funny or not?" or something vague like that so no one has no idea that they are sick jokes like those about the McCanns. So that's why I read them. If they were clearly titled, I wouldn't go anywhere near them!!!

In response to al violi, I'd like to ask the people who think of me as a prude who can't take a joke. Imagine it was YOUR child who had been abducted and YOU were the one accused of murdering your own child and people cracked jokes at your expense, would you find it funny? Think about it!

I couldn't agree more because i think its disgusting that some twisted individuals would make a joke about something as serious and sad as human death and misery.

I also have issues with the big debates on yahoo answers as to whether the Mccans are innocent or not. I understand everyone is entitled to an opinion but i think sometimes people forget about poor little madeleine.

Anyone who can so easily make a joke about something so horrible obviously hasn't experience such tragedy in their life.

I think the people making these horrible jokes should take a step back and think because it could easily happen to someone they love and i don't think they would be making a joke about it then.

I agree especially about the recently departed. As for the McCanns, I'm just bored stiff with having to put up with all the speculation, condemnations, etc. that are cluttering up what I look forward to - spending some time helping to solve others' questions and then coming onto J&R for a little light relief.

I agree with you. Whilst few things would please me more than to hear that little girl has been found safe and well I am getting fed up of hearing about it in any and every format. As for the jokes about Pavarotti and the mime chap whose name I would not even attempt to pronounce let alone spell, I have not read any yet. I think though that jokes about the recently departed are not always bad. Jokes at their expense is.

Hahaha. you won't have the capacity to assert the words "have self assurance" and "God" interior an identical sentence except they are linked by way of the information "do no longer". or you will get 30 thumbs down until eventually now the fee of sunshine has even had an excellent gamble to get shifting. So in case you do choose to vent your frustrations, R&S is probable the final place. I as quickly as suggested i became a Catholic and had somebody threaten to wreck me... this is a damaging place, is previous R&S. generally it rather is puzzling to flee unhurt. appreciate. xxx

Seriously, there's no reason to vent about it. They're harmless little jokes, and if you don't like them then don't read them. I agree, they probably shouldn't be on here; but I HIGHLY doubt you're going to get them stopped. Good luck.
