The Catholic Church was the only one founded by Jesus Himself. Outside of that, you should think for yourself and find the denomination that best suits your spiritual needs.

there is no correct answer here. a catholic might tell you its best to be catholic but a protestant would tell you the opposite. which ever you want to believe in is the better one for you. no one else can make that decision for you. if you want more info on both of them so that you are better informed to make your choice about which is 'better' then i would go to a service for each of them, talk to the people there also researching the differences could help you decide :)

Catholicism is the one Chruch founded by Christ, as another answerer has already stated, so you can choose to be part of the true thing or the phony thing.
Also, "Reverend Soliel" said that the smart money is on being an atheist. He seems to imply that both Catholics and Protestants are obliged to give money to church. Wrong. Only Catholics give money to church; Protestants give money to their pastors who then spend it on their own families.

I'm a Catholic. For me, personally, I feel that it's good to be Catholic. However, some Protestants feel very connected to God in their faith, and for them, it may be best for them to remain Protestant. People must be free to follow their own religious path.

There is no answer to this question. You don't let a religion decide your beliefs for you. You chose what you want to believe and then find a group that best fits you. This takes self study of the bible, research and discussion with other people before you can determine which church would be a good fit. You may find that you don’t fit in with any particular group.

Rather than be a catholic or a protestant, why not be a Christian. Believe in God and accept the free gift of salvation and attend a church that preaches that. But do not follow a denomination that prays to anyone else other than God. He told us not to....we must pray only to Him...not to his mother...not to the apostles or disiples. And if you have sinned and want to confess them, you don't have to do it to anybody except God. If you don't believe me, read your Bible.

Depends on you. Which path calls you? Which do you feel more comfortable in? Which one fits what you believe best?
Visit many churches, read many religious books of many belief systems, determine what your beliefs are before worrying about what religion to call yourself.

It is best to follow what you believe in, not what others tell you to be.
I was born Jewish, raised Agnostic, and became Catholic in my 30s.

As long as you are being taught the gospel, feel free to choose whatever place of worship suits you best.

Jesus Christ founded ONE church while He walked the earth.
The Catholic Church.
All the other Christian denominations are offshoots.
