You mean besides the fact that they’re sitting at their computers trolling around waiting for a question to come up with the word “Catholic” in it?
It means they are threatened by the truth the Church offers them. This is good: Jesus said that if we were preaching His word correctly, hypocrites and people of worldly religions (fundamentalists) would slander and persecute us.
How do deal with them: don’t. Leave them alone, or if you have to address them, do it in the name of Jesus and with His love and forgiveness.

This non-denominational Protestant Jumps to learn what
the difference is between Catholicism and Protestantism,
I have a Son-in-Law and other relatives of the Catholic
faith and have no intent to slander. I know that John Wesley
and Martin Luther had issues with the Catholic Faith,
I also know in the affirmation of faith in the United Methodist
church the following is stated "I believe in the Holy
Catholic Church" (which I assume is something different
than the Roman Catholic Church).
The best way to deal with us Christian interlopers is to
answer our questions and/or ignore us. I'm not going away
'cause I'm gonna learn some stuff.
(Think it would be more fun to wear a shamrock for the
father land than a gungy orange t-shirt)

I agree w/ tebone, Misty and all the other Catholics on here who tried to help you. Since they've covered so much of the Catholic faith, I won't really explain much more, since I'll only be repeating them. Catholicism was indeed founded by Christ, before he ascended into Heaven. Only hundreds of years later did Martin Luther revolt against Catholicism and its Church because he did not agree with many of its teachings. After him, many other reformers started forming their own churches and beliefs and claimed that theirs was the true church, when in fact, the Catholic church has remained universal in its teachings. Yes, there were errors the CC did, but every church, Protestant/Catholic, has made them. Don't listen to the Catholic bashers on here, especially Chris. And if anyone says that we worship Mary and the saints and not God, they really should look into the Catholic faith before they condemn/criticisize. The Catholic Church also has devotions to Jesus, such as the Divine Mercy Chaplet. If you convert to Catholicism, try going to the Latin Mass. It is very beautiful, has a more reverent form of worship, and it was the first form of Mass before Vatican II.

Pray for them. Not only is it the right (and probably only really effective) thing to do, it drives some of them crazy. I once responded to a well-known anti-Catholic ranter of the type you describe, who typically jumps in as the first responder to any R&S question with "Catholic" in it (I'm not sure if he also visits the jokes & riddles or marriage sections, but he well might) by telling him I prayed for him. Wow! What a reaction. I was instructed not to do so, and informed that he only "accepted" the prayers of "saved Christians". Needless to say, he's been in my prayers ever since.

I'm an atheist, but I think 'hate thy neighbour' is, unfortunately, a part of human nature. Just like the sports fans who shout the loudest when it's a derby match. There's no-one closer in beliefs to the other Christians than the Catholics and vice versa, so there's bullshit on this website... and centuries of terrorism in Northern Ireland of course.

Pray for them. That is their only hope.
I pray that they will see the truth and come home to the Church Christ himself started.

Show them how their branch of Christianity BROKE OFF from and REBELLED against Catholicism, the original branch of Christianity, how their faith was founded by man and Catholicism was founded by Christ.

What does it mean?
It's just one more piece of evidence that it's all made up.
When members of the same system of indoctrination can't even agree on how to indoctrinate... its gotta make you wonder.
