I would call it wicked, but I have heard some very disturbing things about it.

.Evil because it turns you away from God to think mankind can do it all . Its a money scheme started from a sci /fie book in Hollow Wood. The govt fell for their scheme and let them become a religion so they wouldn't have to pay taxes on the money they bilked out of the people that fell for their garbage. They charge you x amount of dollars to be so called cleared which is much like Catholic confession then they charge you more money for the tapes the wont you to buy and they are real expensive . Now compare that to going to buy a good study Bible 1 time shot, and then talk to God ,through prayer and see the cost and belief system It is an evil rip off backed up by a couple of hollow wood so called stars.
They used to clear you through tin can s and a string , you were on 1 side of a lets say wall and some one was on the other side and you talked into the can . But that cost a few bucks also ..Total rip off cult

You might call it wicked that scientology teaches that psychiatry - or any other mainstream method of treating mental disorders such as schizophrenia - is wicked. There have been documented cases where people have killed others or killed themselves because they either didn't seek help or were convinced to stop accepting help. Unlike many cults where these started as religious beliefs, scientology began and continues as the con game of L. Ron Hubbard, who once said that if you really want to make a lot of money you start a religion.

Now watch all the scientologists on here tell me I'm lying or deluded.

When you say you're new to the subject, are you saying you're actively doing services? Scientology is not evil. Period. Its members have been to Ground Zero, New Orleans, Virginia Tech and other disaster areas to give relief. They have a major literacy campaign for children and amazing drug rehab programs. They are rehabilitiating criminals out of prisons where they become productive citizens. More info on these programs: www.narconon.org, www.criminon.org and www.cchr.org.

Oh, by the way, the nonsense you're hearing is just that, nonsense. Women can yell all they want in childbirth, that's not what silent birth means; there is no rule against medical treatments; there are no aliens. There's just a group of people who are effectively helping others. Clear?

Forgot to mention: Scientology is free. There are introductory services that are free and for the price of a book they're next to free. And checking their site on the internet does not cost you anything either.

Ignore 'zero cool's' axe to grind and find out the truth for yourself.

One might as well ask, "Why is the US government wicked?"

In theory there is a constitution and a bill of rights protecting citizens. And yet bad things happen. Isn't that wrong?

Well, yes. And yet Americans are proud of their country, because that system is the best available according to those who live with it.

Scientology aims to free individuals on a personal level. I don't know if any of you have tried to achieve that. It's a tough job, especially since not everyone you deal with is totally enlightened. Yeah, sure, things go wrong and much of the criticism cited above is valid. But I'd challenge any critic to honestly analyze the actions of their own groups as a comparison before pointing the finger at someone else's beliefs.

The US government involves itself in wars, people starve and beg on the streets while money is spent on destruction. Kids are fed drugs from early school age for being unacceptably active.

In Scientology, upper management focuses on celebrities and gives them preferential treatment while their dedicated staff work ridiculous hours and exist on rice and beans.

None of this is right when looked at superficially. They all think they're doing the right thing, and to an outsider it usually looks wrong, perhaps evil. Ask yourself instead, "Could we do better than we are doing now?" and work towards that goal.

Its wicked because the Internet says it is of course :)

Actually Im with you. I tried the first couple of courses and then left. I think its great stuff (I just didnt feel a need for the deeper help courses). I didnt see anything that I keep seeing posted here about it. I had a harder time getting away from the Baptists.

As for cost, Id rather the flat rates than the "10% of your earnings" that the christians have. Or the "give up all worldly goods" to reach the top of most religions.

Isn't using a doctor bad in Scientology? That would be bad, especially if you didn't get treatment for your child and they died.

Other than that, it is well documented as being made up by an author on a bet. Not the best origins for a religion.

It's not at all "evil", but it is extremely hilarious.

Like the kind of hilarious you get when you see those reels of just dudes getting nailed in the pills one after the other for like 5 minutes straight on America's Funniest Home Videos. Well, almost.

Dude, the reason that Scientology gets attacks is simply because it works. Most people are afraid of free beings. Scientologists are free-est of all beings.
The attacks are all black propaganda, sorry but that is the reality.
If you have any questions let me know.
I can answer any black propanga question.
I have the right information to put down all those lies.
