A better measure for health is the Body Mass Index (BMI). The ideal BMI is between 19 and 26. For your height, that ranges from 130-175 pounds. Since you're a small/medium frame, I would estimate 140-155 would be a healthy weight range.

Well according to my doctor somewhere between 140 and 148 is a good average weight for that height. I am 5'9 160lbs. They say I'm overweight though Im small framed and mainly only carry the weight around hips butt and tummy. I want personally to get back to 135-140

It really depends on your body frame and how muscular you are. Anywhere between 130 pounds and 150 pounds would be considered "normal." Here's a tip: Instead of judging yourself by the scale, why not judge yourself by the way you look in the mirror? If you're happy with what you see, then there's no need to lose weight. If you're not happy with what you see, maybe you could try getting more exercise and eating a more healthy diet. Just don't obsess over your weight -- that's why we have so many anorexic and bullimic women in this country.

125lb-170lb depending on frame size and body type.
