I know I will always love him, but he is a cheating dog.

What can I say/do to get him not to come back?

We have been off and on for 7 years.

Well he's gonna keep coming back because it is easy, don't worry about how to have him not come back. Worry about YOURSELF not going back...be strong and don't let anyone treat you that way....he obviously doesn't care that much if he cheats in the whole 7 years

Good Luck

I have been doing the same thing for 5 years so I can relate with you. He even had some friendship with another girl, he swears nothing happened but its hard to know for sure. Its hard to be strong enough to keep saying no, over and over again. The best advice I can give you is not to take any phone calls or text messges, delete them before you even read them. If you can block him from your phone all together, but then I always wonder if he is calling at all and curiosity takes over. If he asks to come over say no your busy or that you got other stuff going on, no matter how lonely you are. If you want him to stop calling and comming to see you tell him, "I'm serious when I say that I dont want you comming around or calling me anymore and if you do I will be forced to call the police next time or go get a restraining order." If he thinks he's going to jail if he calls or comes over he'll be a lot less likely to try, but if you do that then be prepared not to hear from him, and if you call him then he will respect you less for not sticking to your word. Take care girl, good luck!!

This is familiar.

I think if you try to make him go away he will only insist on staying.

What would he say if you asked him this question in a very sincere way?

If you want to scare him away tell him you have been talking to your dad about it or some other authority figure or doctor or psychologist. That might work, I don't know.

Good luck to you. You sound smart because you are forgiving and yet you want to get on with the kind of life you want.

Good job.

You need to say its over, and thats it. Dont make eye contact and delete his number and everything. You have to stand up for yourself and realise that its been 7 years of his cheating! you will certainly find someone much more worth your time. Dont let him back into your life and dont give him the chance to explain as after 7 years of him being a complete and total ***, he no longer deserves a minute of your time! stay strong and spend more times with your friends, fill your life with fun with your frineds, learn something new, and travel! You will realise theres much more to life than being with a guy like him! YOU DESERVE BETTER! :-)
Good luck honey! x

say goodbye and mean it dont take his calls and find someone else to go out with and tell him you are seeing someone else . dont tell him who it is though or he could cause trouble for you and the guy . Tell him you no longer want him in your life and he should get it from that . If not call the police and tell them the guy is stalking you . Most states have anti stalking laws . I wish you luck . I have been there and it is hard .

You can say, "were over" and whenever he comes near you after that, you could ignore him or say, "was that the wind? I think I hear a ghost" if he tries to talk to you. Everyone hates to be ignored. It is part of human nature. We all want to be the center of attention.

Depending on how he feels for you; there may be no way to prevent him from coming back.

The cold shoulder is the only way... when he comes back... don't talk to him, don't look at him, if you MUST; tell him to go away... if he doesn't then leave.

Best thing you can say?

"I have found someone reliable and who respects me. Someone who loves me enough to never do the things you did to me. Good Bye have a nice life"

Then go out and make that statement a reality.

next time you guys are off, change your number and avoid him.
if he's smart, he'll get the hint.

most importantly, STOP LETTING HIM COME BACK
