I have had 2 babies, and my body...well...lets just say it's not what it use to be anymore. I know that I need to work out for my health (most my family has diabetes), and for my self-esteem, but I just can't seem to find the motivation. I start a routine, I get excited about it, and I start planning meals, and signing up for wieght-loss clubs, but the next day, it's all gone...all motivation to better myself is out the window. Any thoughts or ideas? Or do I need to see a psyco doctor?

I read once that if you start your excersize routine on a monday your more likely to follow through with it the rest of the week...a reason you may not be motivated is the fact that you do have 2 kids and i'm sure taking care of them is excersize enough...but try starting out slow start doing situps every night and then maybe start doing some cardio...start with something you already like...if you like to rollerblade start doing that every night just as a faster pace to get your heart rate going or if you like swimming go do some laps in a public pool...you'll be enjoying yourself more than thinking your just excercizing

I feel the same way you do. I had a baby 11 months ago and still got 20lbs of baby weight to lose. It took me 10 months after my son was born to decide to go back to the gym. When I got to the gym, I worked out really hard and end up getting nauseous. I felt like throwing up and I was really hungry. My body is definately not the same as before. I've always struggled throughout my life to lose weight. Now, it is much harder. I've had this gym membership for a couple years now and I've only been going to the gym a couple times a year.

Well, what seems to motivate me is when people call me fat or talk about my belly pudge (no Im not really fat, but its motivation) my fiance messes with me and plays with my jiggly meat or says man i remember when we first got together and everything was all toned and tight.. I know you think I'm crazy and should be offended, but It truly motivates me more to get it back down.. Just find what works for you.

Take the kids out for a walk, always plan on doing active things with your kids, you want to teach them to be active and healthy right? Well there's your motivation. You want your kids to eat healthy right? There's more motivation.

Don't try to do it for yourself, do it because it sets a good example for your babies (they won't be babies for long so you need to get yourself ready for that).

I'm not trying to be a wise-*** btw.............

This will sound smart-***, but research the word "discipline". Discipline is what keeps you doing what you know needs to be done even when "motiviation" goes out the window.

hire a personal trainer, and get a gym membership. or join a martial arts class. if your just looking to get into shape, just get a personal trainer, they will help you, and start you out slow, but will also work you very hard. goodluck in getting back into it! I know its hard, i've gone through the same thing.

Then just do what you find fun!

If you like Frisbees then throw them with hubby or friends. Or you can take your babies on long walks (sight seeing) with stroller.

Hope this helps.
