The school does not matter in terms of pay, just make sure you go to a school that is accredited so that you can become nationally and state certified. Depending on where you live, and how well you can acquire clients on your own, you will make $30-80 an hour. Since it is physically demanding work, you will want to limit yourself to 20 hours per week. As a massage therapist, I believe the work is very rewarding and going to massage therapy school was fun. But for many people, including myself, massage therapy is great as a supplement to income, but difficult as your only full time career.

The initial schooling to start working as a massage therapist will give you a good base to start with, so it may not matter which school you go to in the beginning. Your continued interest and additional workshop training will help you develop your interested skills further, thus making you more marketable to clientele. The idea of working 2080 hours per year as a massage therapist is unrealistic. The work is physically and emotionally demanding. You will find yourself making a quick exit from the profession if you try to do this; either from overuse injuries or the infamous "burnout". Most massage therapists are comfortable with 15-20 hours of actual massage time per week. Some consider this full-time because it is their only source of income that can support them, and some consider it part-time because they have another source of income. The remainder of the time is spent on administrative & business development typically. If you check with the AMTA website http://www.amtamassage.org you can find good surveys about income expectations for massage therapists. Annually, you may expect $12g-$18g part-time or $25-$50 full-time. Of course, if you are the guru of all that be, and you can market yourself well, I've heard of incomes going over $100g, but often there are several other business factors involved to help someone reach this point.

It would depend on how busy the therapist is. All the massage therapists I've been to charge by the hour, if your schedule is full of appointments you can make pretty good $. The one I go to every other week charges $50/hour.
2080 hours is the mean number of hours one should expect to work a year. $50 x 2080 = $104,000 year.
