The same questions, same insults, same stupidity.
What I don't understand is, if people have no belief in God and spirituallity, then why do they spend so much time and effort in trying to destroy it in others.
I can understand believers trying to convert and teach it is what Jesus told them to do but if you truly disbelieve then why all the spent energy.

True christians do not vote, we make one vote at baptism for all time, we vote for the Kingdom of God.
Worldly governments are of no interest to us.

I woudn`t be so bold as to call unbelievers idiots because some at least are very intelligent people.
However the same is true of believers.
The thing is we have a split in society, right across the board we have christians/non christians of every level of intelligence.

So why have we got this seemingly vast split?

Christians are people who have been set apart by God for God. They have been born again, they have had their sins forgiven by Jesus Christ who paid that penalty on Calvary`s cross. The invitation is open to all who will accept Him as Saviour and Lord.
Unbelievers will hate christians because of their love for the Lord. The insults which are quite blasphemous at times, are aimed towards christians but aimed at God.

John ch15 v18 (Jesus speaking)
If the world hate you then you know that it hated me before it hated you.
v19
..........but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.

Count it all Gods glory that the world hates us believers, for justice will be done in a future time to come.

Bismillahi Al Rahman Al Raheem,
Ouzibillahi mina shytan Al Rajeem.

The Great Prophets and those special more than all of us, have been trying to say the same thing in a very nice and peaceful way with tolerance and patience.

But sometimes you have to resort to defencive positive reinforcement in the best way to make them see the light that has been shining from the begging of time and beyond the end of this time for eternity.

The people who attack (e.g) Christian faith, are in fact defending their own humanistic faith.
It is vital for them to show that Christians are wrong - otherwise they would be wrong.

Incidentally Jesus didn't tell us to convert people - just to tell people the Gospel. The Holy Spirit will do the converting.
Unfortunately many people on YA are not actually looking for answers. It seems to be a feature (curious to me) of the cyber world, that people enjoy being gratuitously rude to complete strangers.
This probably puts off the few that do really want answers.

I think you are seeing both sides of the equation, and ignoring one of them. Since you have been paying such close attention, it can hardly have escaped you how often "Believers" are posting things that insultingly target "non-believers", and the "non-believer" has every right, when he sees such a question posted, to respond to it appropriately.

"Believers" should get on with their own lives, and pursue their own particular beliefs any way they feel they should. Others do NOT need their, intrusive, "katie-longnose" attempts to pursuade them to abandon their own position on this issue, and embrace what the "believer" tells them they must, in order to avoid being cast into the "Fiery Pit".

It is the Believer, not the non-believer, who is expending all the energy, getting up in other folks' business and ignoring one of the most inalienable of all individual rights - the right of every single human being to be the owner of his own mind, and the master of his OWN thinking and believing.

And incidentally, quite frankly, non-believers (the overwhelming majority, that is, because I'll grant you there are exceptions to every rule) couldn't give a warthog's butt what another person chooses to believe, and therefore has not one shred of interest to try and destroy that person's belief in whatever it is. Not to mention the fact that if anybody feels that his personal belief system is so in danger of being destroyed, he couldn't be too solidly confirmed in it in the first place.

In my opinion (and you asked so you`re getting it) some of the most inhuman and unchristian acts have been commited by the so called religious, including Christians. So forgive me for taking the higher moral ground on this one but i can`t stand the hypocrisy of the people who think you can`t be a good person if you don`t sing hymns!!
And if you don`t want varied opinions why not just ask questions on a Christian site - there must be such a thing.
Thanks for the thumbs down and peace and goodwill to you my child!

Because, my darling, too many of you try to push you're opinions down the throats of those who do not wish to have their lives dictated to them. All they want is streightforward answers to streightforward questions yet become inundated by what God thinks. How God would have them deal with it.
God this and God bloody that. All it is is guilt inuced responses as to how THEY themselves would deal with the matter.
Im sorry, its just that people with real problems and genuine concerns about their lives do not want to be told about religion, and definately do not want to be preached to.
I think that if was feeling so bad that i was suicidal i would end up slashing my wrists if i had even 2 seconds on my doorstep with a 'witness.' They have the knack of making you feel guilty for just about everything you ever did and ever will do. Life is hard enough as it is, don't you think? Why make matters even more complicated?

Why are so many Christians so superior? Tht is certainly not the teaching of Christ - have you made up your own version of Christianity. Its a bit crazy not to vote - if you end up live in a country with Sharia law you are going to be in big trouble.

Hmm, as a non-believer, presumably you count me amongst the idiots. Oh well, never mind.

I am worried that believers have too much influence in the world and receive a degree of respect that they do not deserve.

I wish to oppose their beliefs and try to reduce their influence. Here is a good place to do that.

I think it is worth expending time and energy to try and point out to believers why they are mistaken.

I think that you will not share my opinion, but in my view the most foolish questions and the most ridiculous reasoning comes from the believers.

I surpose I`m one of thoses idiot. At least I have spent many years (40+) researching and studying religions and there oragins. My conclusion is that God most probable does exist, but haveing found the tomb of Jesus in Kashmir I`m not so stupid as to believe he rose from the dead and assended into heavan. Perhaps you should spend a while studying yourself before you go round judging and insulting others. At least most of us nonchristians have open minds!

What I don't understand is how people can type a question, see the little thingie pop up that tells you how many times the same question has been asked prior, and yet your little paw still finds its way to the Submit button.
