"Murder isn't really murder if it is done for Jesus. The overriding commandment in the bible is to follow Jesus. Everything else is secondary."

This is the kind of scarry blind faith that suicide bombers have.

It's also against the command "thou shalt not kill". They seem to forget that there are NO EXCEPTIONS listed under that statement.

Where the heck did that person get his/her theology? Not from Jesus. The NT says we're to die for our faith, not kill for it!

John 16:1-3 (Contemporary English Version)
1I am telling you this to keep you from being afraid. 2You will be chased out of the Jewish meeting places. And the time will come when people will kill you and think they are doing God a favor. 3They will do these things because they don't know either the Father or me."

Could be an atheist pretending to be a christian (which the less thoughtful ones occasionally do if they feel beaten at argument, I guess).
Sounds like the kind of thing the Spanish Inquisition might come up with .. the catholic church have repented of those unchristian attitudes.

Maybe this will help ...

Q. Since murder is against God's Word, is it a sin to fight in a war?

A. It's a tricky question. God has sent His people into wars to attack and kill people He described as His enemies. He could not ask men to sin on His behalf. I guess the question is whether a particular war is being fought because God has ordained it, or because leaders of nations have declared it so.

Paul wrote that as believers we're to obey our leaders, because they were put in place by God. (Romans 13:1-7) I believe that makes them accountable to Him. To me that passage exonerates the soldiers, but not the leaders, in the case of a war that God has not ordained.

Completely disagree with the statement. Jesus' greatest commandments were "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and you shall love your neighbour as yourself."
These two go hand in hand..you cant separate them..and murder is definitely not loving your neighbour!
God bless

Of course not. This believer doesn't have a clue about Jesus's teachings or God. I also don't agree with taking the outlandish statements of a few and trying to taint the whole religion.

I would love to ask this person what situation would warrant killing another human being for Jesus.

May I respectively say you are lying about Christians? I assure you, I am a Christian and I do not say that.
