I'm learning to read and write Kanji, right now just simple words and phrases, but if I ever become more advanced I'd like to know how to read them, and I've heard that Kanji is read right to left, instead of left to right.
Is this true, and is it for all Japanese writing or just for certain publications?

but some are written from bottom to down, at that time u read them from right to left.

I think u shound read and write japanese from left to right because it more popular and easier to read.

Chinese and Japanese are written left to right. In the past, characters were written right to left, and they still are in Taiwan. Therefore, when in Taiwan, read right to left. Also, when reading the characters of an old picture or saying, read from right to left. Otherwise, read from left to right.

Right to left and top to bottom. Japanese is often written horizontally from left to right as well. Manga can use both styles in the same book.
