I would not go so far as to say it is repulsive and call them parasitic aliens, but I did not enjoy being pregnant at all. I was sick, fat and miserable. And I can see where she is coming from because basically you are their "host" while you are pregnant, but it was still pretty rude and unnecessary for her to say to you. I was happy because I knew I would not feel like that long and I would have a beautiful baby when all the icky part was done. Anybody that tells you pregnancy is a beautiful experience is lying through their teeth. Yes it is a miracle and precious, but I don't see much beauty in pain, vomiting/nausea and labor.

Women have been having babies since the beginning of time. How can that be disgusting or repulsive? I can't wait till I start having kids, I think it's the most beautiful thing that could ever happen to me. This lady is not right in the head. Does she forget she was once that "alien parasite".

I think you should limit your contact with this person. That is her opinion about pregnancy. If you do insist on being friends, limit your conversations to things that do not contain her views about motherhood. If she seems to be a pessimistic unhappy person, I would avoid her altogether.
There are a few women who do not like the idea of getting pregnant or having children. Do not let this affect you adversely. I have to wonder though why you would let her remark make such an impact on you. If this is a healthcare professional you have met at where you go to the doctor? Report her. Mothers-to-be are fragile in some ways due to homone changes.
I also agree with the positive things the other women had to offer you about pregnancy and having a child. There is nothing like it. It is the most beautiful thing a woman can experience other than being with a man she loves.

Haha- ok so before I was pregnant I thought pregnancy was gross. I didn't think there were aliens in the people, but I just thought it was nasty. I'm not too sure why, I just didn't like pregnant people and their bellies! I also didn't like newborn babies either (I always said I would just pop out a 1.5 year old!) I love kids, I just didn't like babies. Now that I'm 33 weeks pregnant I've def gotten over the whole pregnancy and babies are gross thing!
My advice though is to not listen to her. Everyone has their own opinions and I'm pretty sure the majority of women don't agree with her or me back then! Good luck with everything though!!

I enjoyed my alien parasites; I never felt better than when I was pregnant. Its after they are born is when one wonders if they can endure.

LOL its not really an alien parasite.
I am currently pregnant with #2.. At times I think it is amazing, but at times, yeah if I think to much on it, the whole growing another life inside me freaks me out.
I endure it b/c I love kids lol but I hate being pregnant.

She hates kids that's all. Or she's a whack job just stay away from her. I had two children but hey I like kids. Pregnancy was fine for me. I ate what I wanted and I got two beautiful kids out of the deal. You'll be fine....and stay away from the wackos. Just listen to your doctor. One woman told me she was in labor for four days. And dumb me believed her. The doctor told me if the woman had been in labor that long she'd have had an elephant.
They don't become parasites until they are teenagers or college age. (Just teasing!) Just be happy! Their are all kinds of nuts in this world.

lol..........i hated getting fat when i was pregnant with my 2 children but feeling the baby move made it worth it to me. i loved watching them move and would always hold my belly to feel them move. As for an alien parasite i had to laugh yeah it is a strange feeling. i wouldn't compare it to an alien parasite though its a baby! a baby to love and hold and Cherish forever
