I have been trying to contact this woman that I met at a party and her phone has been going straight to voicemail for about 10 days. SHE DOESN'T KNOW MY NUMBER. I know that she is from a different state, but what could be the problem?

You answered your own question:

"SHE DOESN'T KNOW MY NUMBER".

She has Caller I.D..

What would you do if (as a woman) someone whose number you didn't recognize called your cell phone?

You would wonder how did they get your number, and if you were being stalked.

My advice: Send her a text message with a photo attachment that includes your phone number; and remind her that she gave you her phone number at the party on the date you met.

Tell her that you've tried to call her from your phone number (type in the number) that showed up on her Caller I.D., and that she wouldn't recognize it because you forgot to give her your number.

Ask her (in the message) to contact you by phone or text message to clear up any misunderstandings, and if it would be okay to contact her.

If she responds, follow her instructions and remain neutral. If she doesn't respond, end it and walk away.

Lesson: When exchanging cell phone numbers, ask her to put your number in her cell phone with a snapshot (if she has Photo Caller I.D.).

Depending on her cell phone company, it could be that she hasn't paid her bills. Seeing how close to the end of the month it is, this is not unusual.

If it's her home number it also could be that she was in some horrible accident on her way home, and she's been lying in a hospital bed all this time...

But the most likely explanation is that you somehow messed up at the party, or she messed up by going there, and she will never respond to you.

Stop calling. If you want her so bad, you've already given her your number in a voice mail, and any further calls just make you look desperate, clingy, needy, stalkery, and generally undesirable.

OK so whether shes avoiding you, busy, lost phone LEAVE A VOICEMAIL thats what they are there for silly!!! If I lost my phone I would still be checking my voicemail from another phone so leave your voicemail with your name and phone # !!! Then if she REALLY does like you she will call you back and get you updated!!!

some people only turn their cell phones on if they're going to use them. Another thing is (and I do this) - is that people send calls to Voice mail if they don't recognize the number....

You could try leaving a message.

Leave her a message on her voice mail and tell her who you are and leave your phone number. If she wants to talk to you she will call you. If some phones have any messages on them they go straight to voice mail until they are listened to. Maybe hers does.

You should probably stop calling, leave a message with your name and number and letting her know where you guys met and once she checks it, if she wants to talk she will contact you back...

Maybe she is a call-screener. Have you left her a message? Leave her one with your number and where you met, maybe she doesn't remember you. If she calls you back, then she's interested. If not, move on, son.

maybe she changed her number. try again in about a month and if it's doing the same thing then she's changed her number, or they confiscated it at the airport or something. I don't know - you must know what you did!
