It doesn't hurt to call and let them know that you're still interested in the position. I hope you get it. Good luck.

Usually it takes more than 2 weeks or 1 month before they can finalize their potential candidate for the position. Aside from the boss who interviewed you, HR Manager - there's 2 more levels for approval (Group/Senior Manager then Director/Head of the Department).
If you are confident that the boss was pleased about you then I would suggest you patiently wait. But if the suspense is too unbearable, then on the 3rd week - give HR a call. Make a sound excuse that the reason you're calling is because your phone has been out of order and you were wondering if somebody called from their company.
Benefit of the doubt that e-mails are oftentimes not entertained for reasons that they are still in the process of finalizing who among the candidates would fill up the vacancy.
Good luck!

you should have written a personal thank you note and mailed it the day of the interview. You can certainly call them to see where the process is but most likely you are not going to be a chosen candidate if you have not heard back yet. However, there could be a reason that the decision is being delayed so dont lose all hope but next interview follow up with the written thank you. Those candidates have always gotten my attention and moved a little higher on the list

The number one thing you can do after ANY interview is... send a simple thank you card in the mail that day or the next day! Remember the interviewer's name for the card, and simply write something like... Thank you for taking the time to interview me yesterday. I am excited about this job opportunity, and appreciate your consideration for the position of (blank). I look forward to hearing from you.
Adding your phone # is up to you, some don't do this. You will stand apart from everyone else. If a job comes down to you and one other person, it will probably go to you if they did not do this. Call everyday or every other I prefer. If they say call in a week, and it's Thursday, call Monday morning anyway. Get it? Don't seem too pushy. Good luck.

Give them a call when the full week has passed after they said they would call. Also, did you send a thank you card for the interview, to each person who inteviewed you? It shows that you are really interested in the position. If not, you could always send it next day mail. Just a thought.

Its always good to follow up with a thank you letter for the time they spent interviewing you and a phone call around the time they said they would be making a decision

If you haven't already, you should send a letter thanking them for the interview and request follow up (I am looking forward to hearing from you regarding your decision, etc).
I don't think it is a bad idea to call, it indicates your interest in the position.

You should call or write a letter to the person who interviewed you stating that you are still interested in the position and thanking them that's what most etiquette books say ...Just asked my husband what he thought and he said just to call...

Send a "thank you for the opportunity to interview with you" letter. That gets their attention every time. Most employers have spam blockers set so high that you can not get through from a personal pc.
