Myth or not, I think our earth could stand to be protected a little more. I think any little bit helps, like everything we've been doing already like the recycling of paper, plastic, etc.

Keeping your cars in good "healthy" condition, have your emissions tests done, check and change the oil regularly. I live in a border city and those cars and trailers coming from across the border are pretty unbearable sometimes. Plus right now I'm pregnant so driving next to or behind them is horrible. They should really have some serious regulations on those vehicles.

Do all states have the Adopt a Highway Program? Groups or organizations "adopt" a mile of highway (or any roadway) and are responsible for the cleaning of that stretch of land. Allot of that trash that is being thrown out is hurting the earth, not to mention making it look ugly.

So I really don't think we need to have a million (billion?) dollar concert or make a movie about "global warming", or my favorite, take 3 minute showers (Jennifer Anniston). What part of your body can you wash in 3 minutes?? Ok that's besides the point. I think we should just be a little more careful and not be so careless.

Educate people with the facts. Give people both sides of the argument and let them make up their own minds.

One of the biggest obstacles is the politicisation of global warming in the US. It means the facts have become grossly distorted, people are being fed rubbish and beleive it. Kick politics out of science and leave the scientists to do their work without political interference. That way we get an honest, unbiased perspective of things.

Your great-great-great grandchildren will be fine. We're changing the world we live in but we're not going to destroy it. There will be adjustements people need to make to their lifestyles but they'll be able to enjoy life.

Skippy say the Algore cult members are no longer calling it "global warming". They are now calling it "climate change".
Skippy say the reason this is would be because most climatologists have predicted that the next 10-20 years will be a cooling trend because of reduced sun activity.
Skippy say Algore now says Climate change so he can still get followers no matter what the temperature does.
Skippy also asks what makes you think global warming would be a bad thing. Skippy says the earth has warmed many times throughout history and its always been a good thing. More farmland, more crops and a longer growing season.

I could disagree with Smilelts. no longer each and every scientist consents it extremely is human brought about. in many situations that's the media who will air in basic terms the pro-human-brought about voices of technological know-how. it extremely is what the media does. They feed off the alarmist factor of human nature. yet there are only as many experts that disagree. The Earth has long previous with the aid of many climate alterations in the previous. it appears that evidently that the conventional climate is amazingly tropical, and grow to be for some 3 hundred million years. To the quantity that there are palm and fern fossils modern in Antarctica. The alarm that we are loosing the ice on the North Pole has quieted some this previous wintry climate, because of the fact the ice sheet grow to be familiar this time. The media would not want to chat approximately that. many of the west Canadian glaciers that have been mapped in the 1850s have been the two long previous or almost long previous by utilising 1900. returned, this preparation is obtainable. It only takes somewhat extra attempt to discover.

I want the same things for my descendants. But I don't think that Global Warming is ALL induced by humans. I think, for the most part it's a natural phenomenon. I do believe that humans are depleting our natural resources and throwing stuff into the atmosphere that is speeding the process up, and these things we need to stop! We NEED to be devising new technology so that we don't have to rely on natural resources. But, we are not in total control here. Mother nature has a whole lot to do with it, and we are at her mercy.

The truth is we can't get everyone on the bandwagon. Look at how much of the world is already working on this problem, even as the U.S. persists in refusing to acknowledge the problem. The single biggest roadblock to efforts to combat global warming is the United States. People need to get active, get organized, and get vocal. It's time we demand more of our leaders and insist that they take serious action to fight Global Warming.

I'll cede to your worries and tell you this. Lead by example, don't tell others buy GREEN cars while you blast around in a big SUV. Don't dream about somebody else creating cost effective Alternative energy, invest and expend the effort by yourself and inspire others to do so with positive proactive leadership. Walking around with a brief case full of charts and IPCC papers and preaching will not get you any where.
