One corner of my lips are so dry and continues to crack daily. It'll close at night after i've caked chap stick on it, all day, all night, then i'll eat something and bam, re-cracked.

Usually it goes away, well in the situation where similar situations arise, however, this time it's been recracking every day for two weeks, easy.

Any at home suggestions, or amazing miracle product?

I'm sick of having a sore, red, cracked owie on the side of my mouth.

Thanks,

there are soo many chapsticks and lip balms you can try. another method my mom used was to apply some butter on your lips before going to bed or whenever you want. it helps bigtime .. my lips become so soft and stays soft for a longer period of time.

Use vaseline. My favorite product is Neutrogena's Norwegian formula hand cream. It comes in a triangular shaped white tube with a blue flip cap. The stuff works miracles. It says right on the back that it can be used on faces, hands, feet, lips, whatever. It works whenever my lips get cracked. I use it all day then, too. Burt's Bees lip balm works well, also!

FYI Carmex is habit forming and it heals lips quickly, but then it also leaves a chemical on them which makes them recrack in a day or two. Then, you have to buy more...see how it works? A lot of people don't know that, but it's true. Generally people who use Carmex are addicted to the stuff.

Don't use the toothbrush to get rid of the dead skin. It will just irritate your lips because they are cracked. Ensure to drink plenty of fluids and keep moisturizing your lips. I've been in this situation also, but in my opinion, Vaseline just made my lips even more dry with the constant use of it. I use Nivea and it works really well. Also, if you want you can try Blistex. That also works well. Avoid buying the scented lip balms such as lipsmackers and flavoured ones such as strawberry, raspberry, etc...

Blistex - but it HAS TO be the one in the blue tub. Try CVS or any other drugstore. It works the best!

I agree! Carmex stinks, but it heals lips in a day.

I use Vitamin E oil, but you also need to make sure that you are drinking plenty of water. I find that my fingertips and my lips crack when I am dehyderated.

Try vaseline at night. A small amount during the day should work too.

this is a cold sore most commonly known as Herpes simplex.
Dont get scared though its perfectly normal.
98% of all people have it and dont know it.
To help it heal dont lick it or eat or drink salty or sugary things and use a MEDICATED lip balm.
